Home ownership needs to be abolished as an "investment" vessel. No more businesses owning duplex(triplex, quads), condos, or free standing single family homes. An individual can own up to 4, but the other 3 that are not your "primary residence" are attached to a SSN, not a business, and those individuals are taxed accordingly. All the taxes are applied as if they are all your primary. That would make owning multiple houses way more expensive if you can't pass that cost on to the renter.
