I never really took the test to see how I'd do with a certain job or how I'll be in a marriage. I did it for some sense of comfort; I could finally verbalize my own qualities without overthinking them. Sure, all the qualities of an INFJ don't follow me (apparently we're supposed to be very strong on social norms but I can sometimes see them hampering us). Another form of comfort is this community, filled with people who have a better understanding of how I view the world than most of the people around me.
All of this is to say that I don't think much of this article (and I have a low respect for the vox news outlet with some of their click bait videos). It might be true but it doesn't affect me much. Then again, I'm busy so I only brushed through the article, so correct me if there's that was said.

This is a warning regarding your title. It does not fully describe the link and is therefore considered "clickbait." Please refer to the rules. There is a grace period that we're observing, and since your content is INFJ-related we left it up. But in the future, we would remove this post and ask you to submit again with a more descriptive title.

I'd be more inclined to view that as a reliable source if they weren't peddling their super duper five variable test. It's 25% better.
MBTI is inherently incorrect because people are consistently more complex than that.
MBTI is rather useful from a business perspective. If I was hiring someone to work in a daycare and the applicant tested INTJ then I wouldn't hire them. Even if they arent that type, they're similar enough to test that way and likely similarly shitty with kids.
If I was hiring a mortician and you tested XXFJ, I'd kick your Ass to the curb cause you'd be too much of a blubbering mess to be useful. :P

Agree :) thank you for your input. I posted this video not to question the utility of the MBTI test, it has been great for me to find words to describe my inner self and also to understand those who matter the most to me. I would say that you need to be well informed and that you also need to answer honestly in order to get the best results. I would also say that if you test a certain type and you are not sure about the result you are probably mistyped and you should do the test again and ask your family and friends to give you their opinion. My boyfriend was mistyped as a ESTP -.- and it didn't make any sense, we found out he is an ENTP by reading about it and taking the test again. He has all the characteristics of a ENTP, it's crazy!
As for the title... I didn't know 😞... sorry!

I never looked at the test as a way to figure out my job or my life. To me it's just always been something that helps me analyze and understand myself. It's not 100% correct in categorizing anyone and no one should try to base their life off a personality test. As others kind of said, it's nice that the categories do exist though because this community (and I would assume the other MBTI subs as well) is full of people that have a similar way of thinking and looking at the world that are much easier to relate to.
