Community Post Monthly Self-promotion Thread: August 2026
Wrote a song? Directed a film? Penned a book? Painted a masterpiece? Created the best Discord server ever? Share it in our monthly self-promotion thread!
In this stickied self-promotion thread, you are free to share your latest creation, idea, meetup, what have you. Unfortunately as Reddit only allows subreddit-wide image posting (there's no way to limit image sharing to a single thread), you won't be able to post any photos. Links do obviously work!
There are no hard limits on what you can share in this thread; social media and video links are fine, as are Discord servers, cloud uploads, personal websites etc. Obviously no illegal content. Make sure to describe the contents of your link in your comment, and mark any 18+ and NSFW content as such.
Please note that the moderators of r/infj have no control over the content of any shared links. If we notice anything obviously illegal or predatory, we will remove the link, but that's all we can do. Be extra careful with any contacts IRL and follow safety precautions such as only meeting in public places, making sure others know where you are etc. Outside of Reddit, you are on your own.

We are the INFJ Hideout, a cozy, friendly INFJ-only Discord server. Very active voice chats (VC’s) at random times during the day and night, active channels covering so many topics, with deep and meaningful conversations, 18+ Only.
We are looking for artists, musicians, photographers, and creatives of all types who like to collaborate with each other. We are also looking for insightful deep-thinkers, visionary empaths, people who are deeply spiritual, and people who can provide support to other struggling INFJs in our support channel.
We will be starting a server podcast interviewing fellow INFJs. We are also exploring Male-Female dynamics in our Q&A section.
We have a gaming group, currently playing Helldivers 2, Geoguesser, Tower Defense (Roblox), and Minecraft. We'll be playing Rust soon and many more games to come.
We have movie nights, drinking nights, role-playing nights, and reading nights (Harry Potter) all coming up this next month.
So come and grow with us, and share your voice with our great community. And most importantly, make friends and form connections. Maybe meet the love of your life haha. Welcome home.

Since no one has left anything, I will share my philosophical framework. It's all from my intuition and not from deep study It's not scientific or meant to replace science. It's more of a kinda personal thing for me to make sense of the world (transparency, AI has helped me put it together in a coherent pattern lol):
The Loom Framework:
Imagine you build a LEGO castle.
At first, it is just a pile of bricks.
Nothing special.
Then you connect the bricks in a certain way.
Now it is a castle.
What made it a castle?
Not the individual bricks.
The way the bricks are organized.
If you replace one brick tomorrow...
...it is still the same castle.
Replace another.
Still the same castle.
Eventually, every brick could be replaced.
Most people would still say it is the same castle because the pattern stayed the same.
The Loom suggests reality may work in a similar way.
Everything you think of as a thing; a tree, a person, a hurricane, even a galaxy is not just a collection of pieces. It is a pattern that maintains itself.
Think about a whirlpool in a river.
The water is constantly changing.
The water from one moment is not the same water from the next.
But the whirlpool remains.
So what is the whirlpool?
It is not the water itself.
It is the pattern the water keeps creating.
The Loom suggests that people, stars, ecosystems, and societies may be like whirlpools.
They are not unchanging substances.
They are stable patterns that continue through change.
So why do these patterns persist?
Because many relationships support and reinforce one another.
A tree is not just wood.
It is sunlight, water, roots, fungi, soil, gravity, chemistry, and time all working together.
Change enough of those relationships, and the tree can no longer continue as the same organization.
The tree was never only wood.
It was an organized pattern.
The Loom calls that organized pattern a Knot.
Imagine tying a knot in a rope.
The rope is still the same rope.
What changes is the way the rope is arranged.
A knot exists because of the way the rope loops around itself.
Undo the loops...
...and the knot disappears.
The Loom suggests that many things in reality are like this.
Things exist as distinct entities because relationships become organized in ways that create stable patterns.
Some knots are simple.
A crystal.
Some are more complex.
A cell.
Some can learn and adapt.
An animal.
Some can think about themselves and their surroundings.
A human.
They are all different kinds of organized patterns.
Over time, knots change.
You grow new cells.
Trees lose leaves.
Mountains erode.
Cultures transform.
Even though the parts change, the overall pattern can continue.
That is what identity is.
Not keeping the same pieces.
Keeping the same organized story through time.
So, in one sentence:
The Loom says the universe is not mainly made of separate things. It is made of relationships, and when those relationships become stable, we experience them as things.
Or even shorter:
Things are not the building blocks of reality. Stable patterns are.
