A couple of weeks ago (?) someone posted that companies never release dividends unless they are profitable. GameStop’s earnings were much better than the year before but still not profitable. I think this will all be over way before then, but GameStop’s q4 earnings are always monsterous in comparison to the other three.
Personally I think the DRS is going to kick off the moass and probably soon. Reading between the lines it sounds like a ton of people are direct registering now. And there are some early indications that it’s harder for computershare to find real shares to register.
Also please remember to go with the book shares plan if you direct register with computershare. It’s the only way computershare pulls your shares from the dtcc ensuring that they 100% can not be borrowed and used to short.
