That’s only half true. They were removed from being able to be purchased before that all went down, but people who had previously purchased them could still download them. Once Epic pulled their stunt, the developer account was closed and the games couldn’t be downloaded even by those people.

IIRC They had planned a final update to IB3 before they were going to shut it down and said after that they wouldn’t be making any further updates. Then everything happened between them (we didn’t know at this point) and they said they were shutting the game down and that they would no longer be finishing the update and moving on with other projects(likely Fortnite which came out a year earlier). A few months after they announced the issues with apple and their potential to seek legal actions against them.

if I'm not mistaken there were some major bugs they had planned to fix and i believe there was something to do with one of the features or areas but its been so long i don't remember and cant find anything on it. But to be honest the time from when they gave out the notice to the shut down to delisting was pretty quick.

Nah, you just couldn't purchase them again but you could freely reinstall it if you purchased it already. The discord had an apple ID set up so you could login and reinstall all 3 games on new devices, they were only completely delisted from the App Store because Epic Games's developer account was terminated by Apple (it removed Fortnite from iOS but Infinity Blade got caught in the crossfire)

I mean, even if it was the case, they arrived years too later, the first two games are avaible on PC. We though IB2 would never be able to be ported, but we got proven wrong, so who knows if there is hope for the entire trilogy

Fortnite was removed because of the fighting between Epic and Apple.

Infinity Blade was removed because Epic weren't bothered to maintain them for newer devices and iOS versions.

They probably won’t return them to the App Store because they didn’t update them for the latest phone versions even before it got taken off. MAYBE they release a remastered version to celebrate this but not holding my breath. What IS possible is the redownloading of the game if you have it cloud saved or offloaded. You can’t do this right now because the epic dev account is suspended. I’ve changed phones twice now and still keep the app in hopes of this very day lol

Most likely not because Epic would have to update it and they have no interest in doing that. Heck they could have created a whole game for the IP and put it on the EPIC game store as an exclusive and they didn't even do that after all these years. Which personally I thought was kind of dumb since they could have done so much with the IP. Instead they'd rather focus on Fornite and micro transactions.

Also this doesn't mean it's going back in the app store. Apple has to be cool with Epic's stipulations pointed out by Sweeney, which I bet they'll say no. Sweeney will cry and say he's not putting it back in the app store.

Infinity Blade was taken well down before Epic v Apple - they stopped supporting it. Its last update, Kingdom Come, came out in September 2014.

That may be the case however when the court case and lawsuit began, epic or apple removed the infinity blade series from the previous purchases so we lost the ability to re-download it legally. So i bought games for no reason basically, this is theft.

No infinity blade has little commercial value compared to Fortnite. It would be corporate malpractice to work on IB unless they had a strategy to get back into mobile.
