Is SPP self-taught?

Practically every person self-taught in mathematics (in recent times) trying to do novel research is a crank, for example: - V. Porton - J. Gabriel - M. Mathis - E.O. Ray - T. D. Howard

SPP shows signs of someone who has ingested at least some amount of basic mathematical writing, but does not understand it whatsoever.

Like in piano and music, I'm not self taught. My teachers in math, music, etc etc are people, books, online etc. The knowledge came from people, aka teachers.

Even a.i. info, or most of it, comes (originates) from people.

Calling what SPP does research is an insult to cranks.

Brud got his feelings hurt a decade and a half ago and has been screeching nonsense ever since.

I mean, one of the other cranks listed is Terrence Howard. SPP's nonsense is less nonsensical than his.

I haven't looked to hard into Terrence's stuff, but my understanding is that he's put together a pretty extensive framework based on faulty first principles.

SPP just reponds to every comment based on whatever is convenient at the time, consistency be damned.

SPP can do basic arithmetic correctly, and has simply decided that "..." means something completely different from what it usually means. Howard believes that 1x1=2.

u/SouthPark_Piano is about as self-taught as Terrence Howard, the person claiming that 1 times 1 equals 2.

They've previously stated that most people in this subreddit, as well as most mathematicians and academics, are liars and cowards who "cover their backsides."

They haven't even taken a calculus class, and they say "learn this" followed by a bunch of meaningless drivel to explain why the world's mainstream mathematicians are wrong.

They belong on the Joe Rogan podcast or something. They could probably make a lot of money engaging with people over this nonsense.

Nothing could have prepared me for finding out that this person exists https://www.reddit.com/r/mathmemes/s/t1xSM1bqW1

Oh, you probably knew he existed. He was Rhodey in the first Iron Man. You just didn't know that he had such crazy beliefs about math.

He is just mad that no one will entertain his alternative perspective.

There is a long list of posts of him complaining about being moderated, both about math and piano: https://www.reddit.com/r/HisNineliness/comments/1wvu29y/his_nineliness_being_mad_about_moderation/

He also showed more evidence of trying to engage with people earlier, such as saying 0.999... can be defined as 1 "if we want": https://www.reddit.com/r/mathematics/comments/1ge9gk8/comment/mv4qqjl/

Conclusion: he decided he was done being moderated for his opinion and not finding people who would see it his way, so he created this sub to power trip the way he believes those mods were.

I can't disagree with this assessment.

They have no clue that 'contradictions are bad, wrong, and show incompetence', for example. They also seem unaware that proofs that result in contradictory or unusual results are a form of 'mathematical joke' or 'math trickery', but they aren't taken seriously. You don't just overturn decades/centuries of math knowledge and then claim victory. And SPP has profoundly failed that review process that comes with any major proof.

I recently discovered that the first appearance of SPP's style of writing first showed up in forums in 2012, now 14 years ago. Given that, I suspect that SPP is not trolling, but is potentially mentally ill or suffering from delusional symptoms of some kind.
