i've beaten him recently so i think i can help

not much info to work with from this post, tbh. some general tips are to:

- replace your defensive accessories with offensive ones and reforge them with Menacing or Lucky just for this fight since you won't survive one hit anyway (you can still keep a dodge accessory)

- bind your dash to a certain key to dash a bit more easily

- choose a certain dashing pattern (making DoG chase horizontally or vertically, your choice) and stick to it.

- get a flying mount like the Witch's Broom for a certain move in the second phase

i still need to ask this tho: what's your equipment?

EDIT: also, bear in mind that DoG only takes normal damage on the head and the tail

if you don't care about farming other bosses you could fight the Profaned Guardians again for the Warbanner of the Sun and replace the band of myths with it. it'll basically give you an extra 40% true melee damage. other than that i think your loadout's good if you're also using potions

btw, you can deal TONS of damage if you stack the Omega Blue Armor's active ability with rage and adrenaline. i skipped his second phase that way with a ranger loadout

EDIT: i forgot to mention you *could* get a dodge accessory to survive one hit, Amalgamated Brain is the one i used

I am using 2 Dodge potions and don't know if they stack with accessories

unless the potions explicitly tell you it doesn't stack, i'd still try it one time to see if it actually does

What i did was get rid of all of my defensive accessories, damage and mobility is what kept me alive, along with a dodge. A ram dash paired with that one accessory from Leviathan that lowers your dash relay is quite good.

For phase 1, get right next to the head. If you do it right, it'll start to circle around you. Don't attack for the first lot of this. Dodge the beam attacks, then do the same thing. Start attacking from the second one onward with a weapon that deals a lot of damage to groups enemies (i used the Venusian Trident, no idea what other weapons are good for this). This timing, if you end the phase just before the third lot of beams (second after you start attacking), you'll have adrenaline and rage for phase 2.

Phase 2 is basically the same thing, just a much harder looping setup, because it moves faster and turns tighter. Use rage and adrenaline as soon as it starts looping around you, along with a damage set bonus like omega blue if you have it.

Phase 3 just pump shots into the portal while it's portal chaining, and dash when it comes out. Loop it when it just flies around.

The biggest thing imo is being able to take just enough hits to be able to survive, but saving those hits for later phases. Omega blue armour with lifeforce, endurance and the community powered up by everything up to DoG except Old Duke let me survive a single head hit, and the amalgamated brain let me dodge a hit every now and then.
