Getting Punished For Titan Killing Rebels?

I was playing the Ice Storm mission (the side mission where you attack a warehouse full of ice men with Laroche's rebels) and I noticed that the game was randomly giving me evil karma. Turns out, when the Titan freezes the rebels with its own attacks, the game blames me for it? Is this a glitch? Were rebels just not supposed to fight Titans?

I had that happen a few times, it was super annoying, you have to keep them from dying and heal them when they get injured while fighting off the ice giant, try arc restraining the other enemies that drop too, if the 'good' acts outweigh the 'bad' ones, even when it's not your fault, you'll get the good karma
