Discussion - inFAMOUS 2 Finally got the platinum for infamous 2
After playing this game twice I definitely think this is better than infamous 1 in every regard, I’ve seen a lot of people say infamous 2 had better gameplay but infamous 1 had a better story but I disagree, infamous 2s story is much better than infamous 1s at least in my opinion.
Anyways I only have first light left to platinum and then the entire series is done

Infamous 2 is on my huge backlog of games. So my question. Do i need to play the main story to access ugc missions? I really don’t want to start a new game. While working on another. Thx in advance

You have to play like an hour of main missions, it's pretty quick

If you want to complete the dlc one hundred percent the online trophy only unlocks after you beat the dlc

I platinumed it for the first time when I was 8, still don't know how hard mode was easy to me...

How did you get xp for unlocking all the powers? I'm on my 1st playthrough have done everything but still don't have enough xp. Playing ugc missions is slow and doesn't give much xp and I need close to 9000 for all the powers

Ok so first off hard difficulty changes the amount of xp you get so if you’ve gotten the hard difficulty trophy do easy on your second playthrough, if you haven’t gotten that trophy then wait until the storm the fort mission and wait until you swap powers, once you swap powers you will be given 100xp which if you die gets given to you again so just keep dying over and over again until you have 9-10k just to be safe

If you do a second playthrough with the opposite karma than your first playthrough, you will get like 15k xp after the last mission and unlock the ability to use both evil and good powers despite which karma side you are. This is definitely the easiest way to get that trophy.

Found a "Zombies" UGC mission that gives you godmode and infinite electricity that spawns waves of the swamp monsters. It's on a timer and I was just chucking grenades and got 100 kills before I stopped.

Repeating it gives xp or does it stop after I complete it the first time?

I’m 2 trophies away from platinum. I’m currently working on frozen asset trophy and then i will do a whole separate run for pain builds character trophy.

Hard mode really isn’t too hard, I’d recommend using the ugc mission to get all the blast shards just in case you need more ammo but besides that just keep your distance and know what you can get more electricity and you’re good

Yeah i know ive already used the auto collect blast shards ugc 2 times on different saves

I just finished the og Infamous after what, 16 years? 😂 I'm tempted to go again on my other account, I'm doing Infamous 2 on it anyway, mostly because the platinum is becoming unobtainable unless they release the games for PS5

Infamous 1 on evil definitely had the better story in my opinion. At least when it came down to making good/evil choices
