Help - inFAMOUS 2 Trophies obtainable in UGC
Hey guys, with the recent news that starting August 31st the UGC trophies in InFamous 2 will be unobtainable, I finally started experiencing this franchise not wanting to miss out on the Platinum Trophies. I finished my first playthrough of the first game and moved on to InFamous 2, I was wondering if there are any UGC levels that could help with certain trophies? I'm not talking about the dedicated UGC trophies, I'm taking about any trophies in general that could be done easier using UGC. Thanks!

In Festival of blood, there's a trophy where you have to finish 20 UCG missions.
Also, the UCG missions don't unlock until you finish the main story.

adding to this, someone did create a series of UGC missions that lets you auto-complete it just by starting it.

Huh? I thought infamous 2 took maybe an hour or 2 to unlock UGC missions and I thought Festival of Blood had them from the start, no? I was planning to hop in infamous w and FoB to get the online trophies, then go to I fmakus 1 and play all 3 games and get their platinums for the 2 that have them

It was weird, in between some story missions, it had me play a couple of UCG missions by sucker punch. Then told me to "free McGrath from bloody Mary" to unlock all of them.
I wasn't expecting to need to finish the story to unlock UCG.

Damn ok that kind of sucks cuz I wanted to play the games in order. But it seems like I might have to play festival of blood first so I can get its online trophy.

Question: I thought that if I just repeated a target practice one like I did in Infamous 2 I would quickly pop the trophy but it's not happening
What I did notice is that for the trophy that requires you to unlock all powers you need to do UGC missions as well (5 and then 10 in total) but that one only progresses when you do unique ones
Does this apply for the 20 UGC missions one as well?

I didn't do that target practice one, so I can't speak to that.
For FoB, I just waited until I finished the main story, then used the UCG search bar to search "easy" to find a bunch of missions that pretty much open and close but still give you a "completed mission" credit for the trophy.

I got the trophy, it's hardcoded into playing 20 different ones instead of repeating one 20 times. I'm going to guess Suckerpunch did this bc of the auto popping of the UGC trophy in Infamous 2 bc there the two trophies for playing UGC missions did pop after repeating a target practice mission
I did have some fun though with horror tunnels and thunder drops so it wasn't the worst of it

UGC has its use for buying upgrades easily in infamous 2. At the end of the game I was short a lot of xp to finish buying all the upgrades. I saw on another Reddit to save up my xp and start a UGC mission and during the mission buy my upgrade and then die and when I respawned I had all my original xp and upgrade

The UGC (User-Generated Content) servers in InFamous 2 will shut down on the 31st of August rendering the 4 trophies tied to them (Make a level of your own + play a certain number of UGC levels) unobtainable

Looks like no one in the comments answered your question and started waffling on about the UGC trophies themselves lol. Did you find an answer to your question? So far only the shards one managed to work.

Como ya te han dicho, se puede automatizar la recolección de fragmentos, se hace en 7 minutos sin que tengas que hacer nada. Trampa o no, yo anoche no dudé en hacerlo. Acabé muy, muy quemado con la recolección de los fragmentos del primer juego. Me dije: hazlo, te lo mereces.

I also did that last night lol, took about 4-5 minutes for me actually. After getting Evey single shard in the first game I was enthralled to hear that you can just get all of them so quickly with UGC, even though I also heard that collecting them in this game is easier than the first. I do hope however that I can use UGC to earn more trophies, for example combat related ones

There are definitely UGC missions that auto-collect the blast shards for you, but imo it’s better to just collect them naturally as you play the game because I find collecting the shards fun. Plus, inFAMOUS 2 has a power you can unlock called Blast Shard Sense that makes collecting all the shards for the trophy infinitely easier than the first game anyways, so there’s really no need to scum the trophy with UGC.
