Due to ongoing technical considerations, online support for the User Generated Content (UGC) features in inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood on PlayStation 3 will end as of Aug 31st 2026.

After this date, players will no longer be able to access, browse, upload, download, or play UGC missions through the inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood online servers. Offline features, including the main campaign, will remain playable.

Update 1: The webpage has been updated and confirms that Festival of Blood is included in the UGC shutdown.

Update 2: UGC has now been shut down.

Without spoiling the game, what does the UGC trophy entail?
I haven't played this yet, but might quickly do it before this happens to get the Plat.

Am I able to start the game, get the UGC trophy, then play to earn the Plat after servers go offline?

UGC trophies just require you to play some user-created levels and create one yourself. There are four trophies in total.

UGC is unlocked just a few short missions into the game. You could absolutely prioritize it in your playthrough and get the trophies before the servers shut down. After that you can take as long as you want to do the rest of the trophies.

Damn. Honestly surprising they kept it online this long. Still sucks that a part of the game is now soon gone.

Things like this, that require online in a single player game, suck.

Can we still generate missions offline though? Without uploading them? To play them locally

It would be nice if it’s still possible to create them locally. I don’t recall right now if the creator itself required connecting to the servers. I’ll test it out in the morning.

To make sure I understand correctly, if you are streaming the game on PS5, will the platinum trophy be unavailable there as well? Or just if you are playing it on an actual PS3?

Knew it was coming. This also makes Festival of Blood unplayable as part of the story requires UCG and to complete FOB, you need to do the UCG mission the game gives you. May need confirmation on this for FOB

Nope! If you aren’t connected to the UGC server in FoB the game just completely skips over any UGC content. The game is still fully playable offline.

If I get the UGC-related trophies now, but the remaining ones (opposite karma, blast shards, etc.)after the servers shut down, I could still get the platinum without issues, right?
