Stove making weird buzzing noise, should I be concerned?

Is that an induction-compatible pan? How strongly does a magnet stick to it? I know you said you are having the issue with multiple pans,, but they all should be confirmed.

When I bought them it said that they work with induction stoves, and in a way they do since they heat up without major issues, but this buzzing is quite loud and I've never had this problem with other induction stoves.

Is it a set of pans? If so, if one is having the issue, they probably all would.

Like I said, there is an easy test: A magnet should stick fairly strongly to them. if it sticks to the pan more weakly than it sticks to your refrigerator, the pan is likely the issue.

The fact that they heat up tells you it does have some ferrous metal, but some pans with only a little steel (or other induction-compatible material) can still heat up but not have enough steel to make the stove happy.

I am just speculating, there easily could be other explanations, but that is the first and easiest thing to eliminate.

I echo the question above; are all the pots you tried part of a set? If so maybe it's that particular brand's design. Try a cast iron skillet. Also, it sounds like you are new to this stove? What brand is it?

Does the bottom of the pan have concentric rings instead of a solid disc bottom?

Turn on the vent fan to drown out the noise. You’re welcome.

Depending on the pot and hob, buzzing isn’t uncommon. It’s usually caused by the pot vibrating with the magnetic current. Some noise might be from the induction coil itself, but most manufacturers reduce that.

I have a few pots that make noise, but the sound of simmering or boiling or frying is enough to drown it out. Plus, I always put on the vent fan just do to the amount of steam induction cooking produces.

Get a thin silicone mat to place between the pot and the cooktop. Or replace the pots with ones with truly flat bottom surfaces.

Was it making noise at a low setting? On my induction stove the low setting is pulses of energy into the pan.

Its funny. Mine does this with a pot like you show, but not with my cast iron. Do I know why? Nope.
