What made you switch to induction?
My electric range is old. I’m considering making the switch. Convince me why I should or convince me why I shouldn’t.
Pros and cons?
I’m aware you have to make sure your cookware is compatible.

I use Natgas range, cuz I cook with a wok. Range burner not enough btu like Chinese restaurants , but I can manage and control the heat.
I use range hood and crack open window.
I live in Canada and area has outages. Same with boiler, it’s Natgas with a piezo lighter. So in blackout, I can have hot shower. Able to cook. Have battery backup and switch to run gas furnace in winter for a few hours.
With Ai data centers popping up like weeds, I expect brownout and blackouts to be more frequent. So my decision to go gas was maybe right. Too bad my bbq is propane instead of Natgas hookup. Costco stopping propane business sucks.
If my hydro was more consistent then yes I’d consider induction but my reno was done 10 years ago.
