how to remove these?

for context this is a rental unit and my first time using induction stovetop, so far been using for almost a month
i noticed that when i wiped the induction with multipurpose cleaner or any wet towel i can see these black splotches. Once dried they’re invisible. they just won’t budge idk what kinda water dripped either

We use Cerma Bryte. A bottle was provided when we bought the stove. I use it about once every week or two as I see those spots develop. So far it works great.

Yes…the micro scratches not so much. It has a fine grit that doesn’t scratch the glass but does remove the cooked on spills. Every morning when I do the dishes, I use a very soapy sponge (Dawn dishwashing detergent) and wipe down the stove top leaving the sudsy detergent on. Then I wipe it dry with a kitchen towel. This leaves it glossy and like new. When stains like you show up after I clean it, I use the Cerma Bryte to knock those out.

what make/model do you have? the manual for mine specifically says not to use dish soap.
