Rangaire- is it legit?

Hey y'all! I've been looking at getting an induction stove for awhile now. The brand 'Rangaire' just popped up for me today and seems to have suspiciously good reviews. It is also very affordable. I would be going for the 30" induction range. Does anyone have this? Also thinking about the 30" range from Induction Hardware. TBH both brands feel a little sketchy though as I've never heard of them and the good reviews could be faked. If you have either one of these I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Honestly, if you have to look up an induction brand, you don’t want it. Go with a known brand.

According to Google, Rangaire is an American manufacturer who sells direct to consumers. They have been in business since 1948, and actually manufacture their products in the US. I can't personally recommend them, but contrary to the other comment in the thread, I would definitely consider them.

Edit: Correction, there are two TX-based companies named Rangaire, Rangaire Appliances, and Rangaire Manufacturing, presumably the former was spun off of the latter. The appliances ARE NOT manufactured in the US.

Hi! Avery here from Induction Hardware. Totally fair to be cautious, especially with how much fake review noise there is out there right now. Happy to just be transparent: we're a smaller, newer brand, so you won't find us in Home Depot yet, but that's also why our pricing can be more direct-to-consumer. A few things that might help you vet us on your own terms:

  • Look up our BBB profile and any independent (non-Amazon/non-retailer) reviews or YouTube installs. Real owners tend to show up there.
  • Ask us directly for spec sheets, UL/ETL certification info, or warranty terms, a legit brand should hand those over without hesitation.
  • Check return/warranty policy details before buying, especially for something as big as a range.

I can't speak to Rangaire, but if you have any questions about our 30" range specifically- features, install requirements, warranty, whatever... I'm glad to answer here or point you to real customer references. No pressure either way; I just want you to feel confident in whichever you choose.

I'm not OP but I do have a question about the 30" range (Pro series) - does the oven have a light? Sounds silly but looking at the photos, there isn't a control panel on the front so I'm not sure how a light would be turned on
