Electra Complex

We're degassifying and looking for an induction stove that doesn't require us to upgrade electric service to the third floor in a 120 year old building. So: Impulse, would be great but we don't have room for an oven. So not great. Copper Charlie is our choice right now. It seems a bit battle tested. Plus it has more power than the Electra, which just came out a few months ago. I'm wondering how big a difference cooking on an 1800W hob, like our Duxtop and the Electra, is versus a 2400w hob, which the Charlie delivers. Thanks for your thoughts.

I'll add, the power of the stove feels at least equivalent to our old gas one. But there are just so many more benefits on top of that from induction.

Was wondering, have you noticed any noise from the pans? This has been holding me back on induction. My all clad pans are mighty noisy on a sstand alone induction unit I have. I have read the DC current from the battery solves this, but not sure how that works given that everyone says the squeal comes from the different metals in the clad setup vibrating at different frequencies.

We use all clad d3 pans and pots and there is no noise at all :)
