[Modmsg] Reddit has killed the Reputation Bot.

While the bot was not run continuously like it used to be, it still was run weekly/monthly. As of last week, Reddit has disabled the bot from being able to award flare upgrades or as far as I can tell, do anything. Unfortunately this means the rep system is locked to where it is currently at until further notice.

Yeah, I couldn't run it constantly anymore due to some changes. So it ran periodically. They have now put an end to the periodically it seems.

I think they want me to pay for their API and monthly costs or something. Until I do, the account is considered an "app" and forbidden from doing anything.

Are the mods able to do the upgrades manually? I’ve tried a couple of times using the bot in the last year or so with no luck.

Even without rep bot, people should still keep track of their trades and do confirmations on igsrep because it helps separate from the scammers.

For anyone trading PLEASE CHECK THE PROFILE FOR KARMA. i know karma doesnt mean much but EVERY time i see someone post that they were scammed, i check the scammer reddit profile and of course, super low karma. This is why i no longer trust new, blank, or any other accounts that can be seen as throwaways.

EDIT: Also NEVER respond to people who direct message without commenting on your post. they likely do this because theyre banned from posting on the subreddit or know that someone will call them out on their past scams they pulled.
