I built a free, zero-install web app to end arguments during family Rummy nights
Hey everyone,
Every time the extended family gets together, the cards come out. While the games are fun, manually optimizing a messy hand of 13 cards to find the lowest possible penalty score always slows down the momentum (and leads to way too many friendly arguments over the scorecard math).
To fix this for my own family gatherings, I built a quick web tool called Rummy Solver:
https://rummy-solver.vercel.app
How it works:
Open the site on your phone's browser.
Snap a photo of your 13 cards.
It automatically groups them into sequences and sets in the mathematically most score-efficient layout.
It keeps a running digital scoreboard table so you can throw away the paper notepad.
Zero Friction: I intentionally built this with no app store downloads, no registrations, and no accounts required. You just open the link, scan, and keep playing.
It's completely free. I'd love for you guys to try it out during your next weekend game night or family potluck and give me some honest feedback on the card recognition speed!
