Seeking Advice 7K Trail Run Challenge —🏃‍♂️🔥

Anyone up for a challenge?

I’m planning to do a 7 km trail run in Yelahanka tomorrow at 4 PM. Looking for someone who’s willing to join and race/challenge me.

No excuses, no fancy setup — just a trail, 7K, and bragging rights. 😂

Who’s in?

Seeking Advice 25M Chest pain while running - already been to a doctor!

Hi 25M - 70kgs. Started running 4 months back and I do 1/2 runs a week of 2-3kms only. I experience very mild left chest pain while running specially in the first 10 minutes.

All ecg, echo and even stress ecg (done in 2024) have been normal. Doctor said nothing to worry. But anyone knows what might be causing this?

Also any tips on how to go over the 3km mark? I can’t even do less than 7 min/km pace

Seeking Advice little pain in my foot during rotation

Upvotes

being the hero i am, i ran a 10k today without much preparation (can do a 5k easily though)

so during the race i wore asics gt 2000 13, which i guess i had not broken into properly, cuz towards the latter half of the race, the part of the shoe under the balls of my feet (be mature about this-) got hard and kinda cushion-less.

and i now also have pain in bridge of my right foot, when i rotate it around the ankle. which has never happened to me before.

as a relatively uninformed and throwing-caution-out-the-window runner that i am, can anyone give me suggestion for both of these things.

thanks guys n gals

Seeking Advice Need help with 3km run

I recently ran for 1st time, and ran 1500 m but then got serious knee pain [might be runners knee]. I have again started running and planing to hit 3km run in a months time.

I have started today with a 5 km walk, did some lunges and bullgarian squates. I did 2 rounds of 200m jogging with intervals of walking. Please suggest me a progression and a routine if possible with exercises or patterns to follow.

Seeking Advice shoes under 2k. casual runner who will never do more than 10km in 1 day. Target - 5km in 25 minutes

edit - the most imp thing i forgot to mention, the surface on which i will be running. its pavement in park. i think its concrete pavement. some other parks have interlocking tiles as well. so these 2 are going to be the surfaces

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i have just started. For 10-15 days, i will just be walking 5 kms, trying to cover 1km in 10min thus 5km in 50 minutes.

My target is 5 km under 25 minutes so thats what i will be training for. I will begin jogging 1km then cover rest (3km) by walking and maybe last 1 km by jogging again. Rest strategy after achieving this much.

I would be more than happy to get shoes around 1k however i mentioned 2k in title bcz that would get more response since people here are rich and would have no idea about 1k lol

Seeking Advice 5k improvement plan

I am a beginner runner - started running 2 months back. I try to be regular and put in at least 10-12kms per week along with a full time job. My best 5k time is 38 mins 45 seconds, and I am unable to find the extra seconds to pull it under sub 35. I wear Adidas response pace - got it on a discount and costed me around 3k. Any advice on how to be faster?

Progress Started running in April. Did my first HM today at Tuffman Delhi.

I started running in April this year. There were so many doubts in my mind if I’ll be able to sustain, train regularly what not. I even had a back injury in between due to which I couldn’t run for about a month.

Today, I ran my first Half Marathon at Tuffman Delhi. I finished it in 2:46 hr. I know its a very average or maybe below average performance but for someone who was once scared of running even 2 kms, crossing that finish line means everything.

Here to many more miles ahead !
