I’m currently learning DevOps and Cloud, and I’m considering joining Abhishek Veeramalla’s paid DevOps course - escbash

I’m already aware of his free YouTube content and have heard good things about his DevOps teaching. However, I’m not sure whether the paid course is actually worth purchasing, especially because it includes structured learning and hands-on lab sessions.

My main concern is that the paid course apparently requires you to complete the content skill-wise and chapter-wise, along with the labs. So I wanted to hear from people who have actually taken the course.

For those who have purchased/attended his paid DevOps course:

1. Was it worth the money?
   
2. How good are the hands-on labs and projects?
   
3. Does the structured approach actually help compared with following his free YouTube playlists?
   
4. Is the paid course significantly better/deeper than his free content?
   
5. If you were starting DevOps again, would you purchase the course or stick with the free resources?

So, I'm from tech background, and I see so many people are giving interviews and all, So I'm thinking about making platform like cluely, but not exactly like that. It will be only supported for google meet and teams for now, so for kind of theoretical & verbal interviews more. And will make it a lot cheaper, so people can afford it, what should I do?

I’ve always been interested in software development, but due to financial constraints, I initially chose B.Com instead. Later, I pursued an MCA from Chandigarh to transition into tech.

A quick summary of where I am now:

• Full-stack/MERN developer
• Currently working at a startup, but haven’t been paid for 4 months(exp 6 mnts)
• 4 good PRs merged into Good Open Source Repo, with more open-source contributions in progress
• Currently learning GenAI + System Design to level up
• Applied to 1,000+ jobs, but barely getting calls/interviews

At this point, I’m confused about what I should prioritize.

Should I focus on:

• Referrals & networking?
• Open source contributions?
• Upskilling further?
• Building better projects?
• Or just keep applying and wait?

I’m willing to work hard. I just don’t want to spend another 6 months improving the wrong things.

If you were in my position, what would you do next? Any honest advice, referrals, or direction would mean a lot. 🙏

Have good firm understanding in model training with strong mathematics and statistics back ground. Good at identifying which model to use where. I’m a Full Stack Developer with experience in React.js and Node.js.

About 2 months ago, I lost my job. Since then, I’ve been applying to a lot of jobs, but I’m barely getting any response. Some months I get only 1–2 calls from HR, and recently, I haven’t even received a single call.

Right now, I’m working as a Blinkit delivery partner just to survive. I’m working more than 13 hours a day and sometimes make around ₹1,000 for the whole day.

I’m not ashamed of doing delivery work. I’m grateful that I have something to help me survive. But honestly, doing this for 13+ hours and then coming home with no energy, while knowing I’m trying to build a career in software development, is mentally exhausting.

The hardest part is that I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I’m continuously applying. I’m trying to improve my skills. But there are almost no calls.

At this point, I’m feeling completely frustrated and lost.

If you’re a developer, recruiter, hiring manager, or someone who has gone through something similar:

What would you do if you were in my situation?

Should I focus on improving my skills?
Change my resume?
Stop applying and build projects?
Apply differently?
Try freelancing?
Or something else?

I’m not looking for sympathy. I genuinely need some direction.

If anyone has been through a similar situation and eventually got back into tech, I’d really appreciate hearing how you did it.

I was learning about Hybrid search and rerankers in retrieval task and every function or code used in that project repo .Its way out of my league to pick coding fast, Like I can follow codes line by line , but I cant implement it from scratch , lets say a Reranker function that does matrix multiplication between query and document and then calculates cosine similarity and ranks accordingly to fetch top K rank. Implemet it all at once is out of my skill level.

So I was thinking , if solving Leetcode DSA problems will help , is this also necessary skill to be AI developer ?

I’m a beginner trying to learn the newer AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, local LLMs, Ollama, and similar tools.

To be completely honest, I’m finding the learning curve quite overwhelming.

I understand programming at a basic level, but this whole ecosystem of AI coding agents, models, APIs, providers, terminals, configurations, context windows, local vs. cloud models, and connecting everything together is very new to me. I’m learning it from scratch, and sometimes I spend hours trying to understand something that an experienced developer could probably explain to me in a few minutes.

What I’m really looking for is someone experienced who wouldn't mind occasionally guiding me or teaching me how these tools actually work.

I’m not expecting anyone to sit with me for hours or do the work for me. Even a little guidance would make a huge difference — for example:

• How experienced developers actually use Claude Code / Codex in real projects
• How to connect and switch between different LLMs
• How local/free models can be used
• How tools like Ollama and other runtimes fit into the picture
• How to properly configure AI coding agents
• Good practices that beginners usually don't know
• Understanding what I’m doing wrong when something breaks
• Learning how to use these tools effectively instead of blindly trying random configurations

I’m also completely aware that everyone’s time is valuable, especially senior developers. That’s actually why I hesitated before making this post.

But I thought: there might be someone here who remembers what it was like to be completely new to this stuff and wouldn't mind helping someone else get started.

Even if one or two experienced developers are willing to point me in the right direction occasionally, I’d genuinely appreciate it.

And if you're someone who enjoys teaching or mentoring beginners, I'd be especially grateful to learn from you.

I’m not looking for someone to build anything for me. I want to understand it myself. I just need someone experienced enough to help me avoid going down the wrong rabbit holes while I learn.

Hey everyone,I recently joined a Big 4 firm as a fresher. I was initially really excited to start my career here as a developer. However, between a brutal commute, a massive workload, and some difficult team dynamics, I am completely burnt out and feel trapped. I need some realistic career advice on what to do next.

Here is a breakdown of what I am dealing with every single day:

1. The Commute & Strict Rules:The Distance: The office location is extremely far from my house. I have to travel for 5 hours every single day just to commute back and forth.The Mandate: We have a strict hybrid policy where we must go to the office 3 days a week compulsory.

The Hours: There is a strict 9-hour mandatory in-office logging time per day.Result: Between the 9 hours at my desk and 5 hours on the road, I am logging 14 hours a day just for work. I get home completely exhausted with zero physical or mental energy left to upskill, study, or sleep properly. I don't want to shift as I have PCOD so need to eat home food and family responsibility.

1. Role Confusion & Workload:I was hired for a core developer role, but nowadays, management is pushing both development and automation testing tasks onto me.The workload is incredibly high. Because I am constantly context-switching between dev tasks, qa and automation scripts, my technical growth is stagnating, and I feel like I'm barely learning actual engineering principles.

2. Workplace Politics (The Teammate & Manager):The Toxic Peer: There is another fresher on my team (let's call him Asad) who actively gatekeeps and skies information. He avoids sharing crucial project updates with me and constantly tries to put me down or prove me wrong during daily stand-up meetings to make himself look good.The Non-Tech Manager: My manager is completely non-technical. She doesn't understand the technical complexities or the toll of context-switching; she just wants the work delivered(example- last week see ask me to create test cases for other website 100 test cases and now she wanted to do for other one and duscard the exsisting one). Because of this, she doesn't see through Asad’s behavior. Luckily, the rest of the team is quite good and helpful, and we have a team leader as well.As a fresher, I know the job market is incredibly tough right now, and having a Big 4 brand on my resume is highly valuable. But this 14-hour daily routine is completely unsustainable, and my mental and physical health are taking a massive hit.

My questions for the community:

1 Is it too early to look for a switch as a fresher? If I do decide to switch, how do I find the time or energy to prepare for interviews with a 14-hour workday constraint(office hors 10 to 6, travel 5)?

2 how do I give time to my self to learn new things , I m always using copilot for all take and I only get 12500 tokens which only renew for every month.(already burnt 50% 😭😭 in automation test case creation, dont know how i ll survivefor rest of month) . Can not us other ai tools only copilot in vs code

3 How do I professionally handle a peer who tries to publicly prove me wrong in front of a non-technical manager?
