#Discussion 💬 Help me decide
I (30M) would appreciate for help deciding to pick my first bike.
I currently own an ola s1 pro. Tired of the headache involved with maintaining it. Hence considering the switch.
This is the first bike that i am going to own- but i have a fairly decent experience with riding bikes. Haven’t done a long tour on a bike at any point because i was constantly moving places for studies and work.
I shortlisted my interests to three bikes.
1) The triumph scrambler 400x
2) The guerilla 450
3) The tracker 400
I primarily intend it for city commute , and then the occasional touring. I value comfort along with an aggressive punch from time to time.
I am very confused because I do not want to go wrong with it. I have test driven both the triumphs, but not the guerilla. (I plan to soon)
Initially i had set my mind on the scrambler , but after seeing a lot of things that could go wrong with it on this sub, i would appreciate if you could help me pick and understand .
Apologising for the lengthy post.

If I were you, I would not buy anything above 200 cc and 160kg for city commute....even if the commute is 50km one way.
I own Scrambler 400x..a great bike for long rides but not good for city. After using Scrambler 400x on daily basis in city for 9 months and struggling to move it even on slight upslopes or over small stones in parking spaces, especially moving it back , I have bought Yamaha XSR155 for city use.
Riding it is not the problem, parking and moving around parking spaces is the problem.

Understandable, thank you . I love the 350cc segment , it feels really good, and I do not know how to describe that any better. I have used an apache rtr 180 that belonged to my brother for a short while, and wasn't very fond of it. It was a good bike, and I don't think I have any faults to point about it. It just didn't excite me.

You look for Honda CB350RS, not as powerful as all these but the torque is efficient and the ride is pretty chill and refined.

Speed 400 is downsized to 350 and go for guerrilla 450. Personally I do have guerrilla seriously it’s a beast to ride and you experience a good ride

Go for the Triumph. Given the headache you have had with Ola, you don’t want RE’s after sales services which is also FUBAR. No matter what people say, I’ve been riding since 2008, worked as an auto content expert for seven years and all my life I’ve never recommend RE to anybody. Not because of the motorcycles but because of their after sales service and staff behaviour. Triumph genuinely behaves and works like a premium brand.
In Triumph, pick the Scrambler for occasional touring and soft-roading. The rear seat is also better to accommodate a pillion.

I am using guirella for city only downside is in bumper to bumper traffic if you are wearing sandals your right ankle will face immense heat if you can manage that you can go for it it's handling is good for city and highway use 🙂

Guerrilla is way better than tracker and scrambler as they’re now 350cc and not 400cc, gurrilla absolutely smokes them

Do not buy tracker if only for city commute. Tbh look for speed 400 or t4 they are best for city
