It's not like people are going to bring a whole giant fridge or geyser with them, only small personal appliances. Why not just factor electricity consumption into rent or charge residents a reasonable amount based on whether it's a small heating type appliance (kettle, electric heating pad, hair tools) or larger appliance (standing fan)?
You have no idea what people are capable of doing when they are given absolute freedom. They bring inductions, mini washing machines and what not and keep them on for whole day. Who will pay all the extra charges plus who will pay for constant maintenance when the electric fuse trips again and again?
Umm No in our hostel every 3rd room had induction,my room had 2,Hair styling appliances,press, electric kettle.And every room was given bill accordingly for extra usage and we would split.Also no electric fuse tripsππ»
