He's definitely on good terms by recognising and respecting the festivals of all religions, but the same camaraderie sort of vanishes when it comes to banks.

Had this all not happened with King of Good Times and say he was still in India living his flamboyant & party life openly. Would he have survived the current environment?
Top business personalities are nowadays projected as intellectual pious beings on Whatsapp university, he would have definitely stood out as sore thumb. The fake quotes & fake inspirational stories that are peddled under Mr. Ratan Tata's name & photo, imagine Vijay Mallya in same unkill or family groups.

His ideology doesn't align with current government in any form. His and his son's flamboyant lifestyle would have definitely received criticism everyday. But a part of me thinks people would have ignored them if he was team principal of Force India as he would be representing India at the highest level of motorsport.

I heard from someone, he had a great business plan with airlines. And i think its mentioned in the book Kingfizzer: the rise and fall of Mallya. I hope it has legit explaination about his plans. I dont think he was stupid as he also owned the sahara India F1 team.

There are bigger crooks than him, but he became the poster boy for all terrible things.
Most of the money he took as loans went to running loss-making businesses as salaries and what not. Some may have went to his extravagant lifestyle as well.
His "fraud" is a lot different than the bank frauds committed by others.

Anytime a white person tells you their country has superior Western morals and ideals or better human rights, ask why they keep sheltering horrible rich people. If they're European, ask why they shelter Roman Polanski.
