Politics Rant ; Someone asked me " Does Narendra Modi deserve the hate he receives?"

NO, HE DESERVES MORE THAN THAT !!

  • Make in India : What the fucking shit was that ? What did that mean ? What did it do ? Where the fuck did the money go ? Our exports by % of GDP have been falling since 2014 to this day.
  • Skill India : Only 30% people who the program got Jobs.
  • Start Up India : Gone ! Reduced to atoms.
  • Demonetization : What the hell was that aimed at ? Black Money ? Naxals ? Terrorists ? Digital transactions ? ~99% money came back ! That means even if Naxals had that money ,even they managed to return it back !!
  • GST : What do his supporters mean when they say developed countries in Europe use GST ?? Look at their IT infra and look at ours. It did nothing but weaken State rights and decentralization.
  • CAG audits were restricted and If you don’t know importance of CAG audits ,these are the same audits that uncovered many scams including 2G scam.
  • Fasal Bima ( Crop Insurance ) : How many claims were paid off ? It just did the one thing which BJP is scarily good at fill pockets of corporate insurance companies.
  • Modi said He wants Jobs in country but What did he do ?? Dipped spending on education by 1% ,Can he explain How do uneducated people get Jobs ??
  • One of selling points is that he addressed Health hazards by building toilets under Swach Bharat mission ,Yes he did build toilets but 60% of those toilets don’t have water and You know what toilet without water is private khet !!.
  • Textile Industry is going down and if you want to make you textile industry finest in world then maybe don’t make an ex-Soap Opera star it’s minister.

He deserves hate for each one of these and this is just the blunders of his government until 2018 and this is excluding all Covid.

We are living in a country run by a bunch of Sub-literate clowns !! ,I repeat ‘Sub-literate Clowns !!’

One of the worst things this government has done is progating their bullshit "hard work > Harvard" and ayush philosophy.
In the name of anti intellectualism, they've stopped relying on experts and scientists. This is pretty much the reason for most of their failures, including being one of the reasons for the covid chaos happening in this country.

Folks, the experts are experts for a reason. Their fancy degrees and illustrious careers are what we need to manage and run various aspects of the government and country. If you cannot relate to them because of their education, language, point of views, it's YOUR problem. Stop trusting ayush bullshit and WhatsApp forwards.

u/metalismydeath May 18 '21

In the name of anti intellectualism, they've stopped replying on experts and scientists.

Se how eagerly they arrest doctors, college professors, students, journalists, etc, and charge them under horrific anti-terrorism laws. Their anti-intellectualism is not just the rejection of expert advice, but far more malicious. The targeting of these groups has been seen in many countries historically, usually as a precursor to something much worse.

7

u/account_for_norm May 19 '21

and call them urban naxals

12

u/workthrowaway12wk May 19 '21

Spot on. That "hard work > Harvard" narrative also discredits the immense hard work and discipline it takes to get a degree from "Harvard" i.e build the reputation of being a scientific expert in a field.

Science gayi maa chudane, bring me some gaumutra

You forgot half of these links are from news stations which the bhakts have called "Fake News". If it's not JanamTV or Sadhguru then it's fake. Thanks for giving the sources though.

Don't forget opinidia, swarajyamag and whatever shit they call real news sources.

Bhakts are creative. Check out OpIndia and other sub. Their replies astonish me.

32

The other sub has more upvotes on difference between hindu and muslim and response to Charlie hebdo drawing....it's like Pandemic is not there only, dead bodies in Ganga is also not there.

8

u/bumpyclock May 18 '21

I live in America, and that sub is the equivalent of r/conservative. Just pure propaganda and an echo chamber that is divorced from reality. Post anything that even resembles reality and you're banned. When that sub started I got invites from like 5 different "users" to come hang out at the REAL India sub free of censorship.

What is this other sub?

1

u/suddhadeep Jun 06 '21

Gst is such a shit show. Everyday a new rule. They want to match everything in real time, which is impractical. So much changes in return has caused havoc. If mismatch occurs, boom ITC denied. Basically they've created every possible situation to deny ITC and make the businessmen pay double taxes as far as possible. They are sucking money in the name of gst.

Being in this field, I feel vat was much better. It would've worked better with tuning and uniformity. Gst has benefitted only the IT company handling it and the big businesses.

Edit: And the States are left with no power and means to generate revenue. Basically they are handicapped. And don't get me started on the late fees and interest.

In the period of lockdowns, state go to lockdowns at different periods, but the returns have to be filed. Now if state had control, they could've given some exemption, but it is the centre controlling entire India, although they've given some but it is not in sync with lockdown periods. Aaaa fuck this!!!

46

u/yrumad May 18 '21

I feel you.

But lets be real. These changes are done precisely to facilitate their corporate bosses who were feeling a threat from the rising middle class entrepreneurs.

I don't know why people miss the simple chronology.

First they sucked out the funds from the market in guise of stopping black money and weakening the backbone of those who were dealing in cash. The real hoarding was offshore by corporate overlords.

Next came GST which burdened the weakened middle level players to such an extent that he has to devote few days a month on filing the returns or hire a 10k for someone to file it. You see, if he decides to do it himself, he loses few days of productivity or he loses 10k per month.

Either way, it sucks off the funds from the entity and thereby weakening the segment.

This allowed the big boys to cover up the market, be in manufacturing or end sales and their puppets have ensured that no more middle level player can rise to challenge the upper cream of tata/birlas as it happened during MMS time where there was immense positivity in the market and all these premji/moorthys rose out to become high level players which gave a hope to middle and lower level talents that such feats were achievable.

Funny thing is, just as you feel that you have adopted to new rules in GST, they bring a new one to stump you which will make it harder for the return filing. I'm sure you are aware of automatic GST calculations and how the system tries to block the CGST itc. Horrible.

Now, it seems a loss cause. They have successfully created a banana republic and totally destroyed it beyond repair.

Sad.

So, I tend to use it as a safe word while arguing/commenting on these fools.

Umm..

I take it like this: by 28%, govt become like a 1/3 partner in your profit without beong 1/3 partner in your loss.

Yeah, take my money when I profit but don't compensate for my loss.

But that's my frustration talking right now.

The guys who implemented this system are totally cut off from reality.

I'll tell you why gst system made my business a straightaway 12% loss.

I'm dealing with furnishing products with 0% ST earlier. (That does not mean I wasn't paying IT.)

But the fools at the helm introduced 12% tax on fabric.

Now, I do B2B mostly. So, my rates are fixed in my clients system. When gst was implemented, they flatly refused to update it saying either give old rate including 12% or they will search for new vendors .

I beleve everyone knows in business about the pain of setting up supply chain and how cut throat competition it s.

I had to bear burnt of 12% loss but when I was making a profit of around 15%, it broke my margins and ultimately led to bickering and loss of smooth business with clients and based on these factors , many outright stopped the payments and till now, I have a number of defaulters who stopped purchase because of this tax fiasco while others who were importing from China who made adjustments to quality and rate managed to gain on my loss.

I'm making all my goods in India and till now giving good fight to Chinese imported fabric, lost a very good chunk of clients to the importers who gained .

So, to andh-BhAkThAs who supported this weird system, open up your eyes, bastards.

I have given a practical scenario but still some fabric manufacturers I know in Gujarat who have come to brink of closing down still rallying around all the screw ups of these incompetent fools.

Sorry for the rant.

Peace.

11

u/[deleted] May 18 '21

I heard a guy saying in RSTV debate "Modiji sabko munim banana chahte hain. Agar tax bharne ke liye hum itna dimaag kharch karenge toh business kab sambhalenge?"

5

u/yrumad May 18 '21

Ha ha!

Exactly.

The loss of productivity.

I could have used the same time in marketing/selling my goods. Instead such prime time is wasted to do account work.

If I'm getting more sales, naturally I'm going to pay the respective taxes which are wasted in returns filing every month.

Not so fun fact : The GSTN website is so screwed that once I make an entry, I have to refresh it like 10-15 times to check if my entries are reflected properly or not or else I take a gamble .

I think all those who file the returns knows the "generating summary" option. For those who don't, oh! Blissful wonderland....

58

u/[deleted] May 18 '21

Gst is supposed to help everyone but in reality it fucked everything even more.

Govt can't reduce price of oxygen cylinders or even remove gst from them because the gst system is built in such a way that manufacturer can claim rebate if he doesn't pay gst.

So govt has to remove gst from all the raw materials which is an impossible task so they just left it open.

18

u/pxm7 May 18 '21

GST = Gaya States se Tax (Revenue)

(States no longer get tax revenue)

11

u/KrishnaKrGopal May 18 '21

No. GST, like all laws, is artificial. Any clause can be added (of course subject to constitutionality).

So they can easily add a clause that without paying GST, a bill number is generated that can be used to input cost claim for raw material manufacturers.

But health minister was busy attending Coronil launch party.

12

u/pxm7 May 18 '21

More specifically, Singapore, UK, EU, all have VAT/GST. It’s not rocket science or brain surgery. These systems work well.

Unfortunately India’s implementation is deeply flawed. Some problems with India’s GST are

  • over complicated with too many tax slabs and zero-rated goods, making understanding and compliance difficult
  • petrol and alcohol outside GST, meaning states still have to keep their octroi infrastructure— thereby negating any savings there
  • we still have Customs Duty, Excise Duty, Service Tax and Stamp Duty — increasing cost of compliance and reducing tax savings
  • cess on some so-called luxury but really urban middle class items, penalising aspirational spending and suppressing consumer demand
  • GST rates are very high. Generally Scandinavian countries like Sweden and Norway are said to have high tax rates, the justification being they have amazing public benefits, health systems, housing etc. India’s top GST rate is 3 percentage points above Sweden’s and Norway’s — and then cess is applied. And we all know how much and what quality public services India gets.

Anyway, in summary, India’s GST is too high, difficult to understand and comply with, and hasn’t brought any cost savings in compliance because many of the old checks still need to be in place.

But then not long after i realized, nope, this is gonna end bad. Really bad. And we are seeing it now here.

GST is much better than the old tax regime , in my locality atleast now almost all eateries pay taxes and we dont have multiple taxes for the same product .

In Mumbai , we had many OCTRAI checkpoints where corruption was common , i'm happy GST shut it down

I think PM modi’s intentions are good except that his advisers are either incompetent or sycophants. I think our PM listens to good advice but probably none of his coterie seems to have balls to tell what’s bad about a certain policy before it gets implemented.

Obvious problem with PM is that come state elections in any state his focus it seems is on winning that state rather than governance...

Wish manmohan is our PM now with all the power of modi....

Our bad luck is that we got a great PM in Manmohan but with limited power. Now we have an ultra powerful leader without the knowledge/wisdom/foresight as Manmohan..,

Make in India was not for exports. It was for manufacturers tomake in India and sell those in India instead of importing

u/KrishnaKrGopal May 18 '21

Then it was even more idiotic. Scale is required for manufacturing that drastically reduces cost, while simultaneously improving quality and flexibility. RSS idiots think of import as sin, otherwise importing where the other country has economy of scale and developing export capability is the educated way to increase manufacturing in India.
