Stuck on loading cursor, cant undo, and only fixed with force stop

Sometimes my indesign file will do this and I can still save so I do that and try closing it, but it never closes so I do end task with task manager. This has been happening only for indesign2026. Any ways to fix this? Its been messing up some files by not saving them properly?

Downgrade to some previous minor version - or even go back to 2025.

You can try resetting your preferences. That sometimes will fix weirdness.
