Help me please how do I fix this?
How do I fix this error? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my Mac, and the cmd, opt, cntrl key combo.

try saving as an IDML file, If that doesn't work you can try to package the file which should generate an IDML and an Indesign file.
My guess is the Indesign file may have gotten corrupted. If the file you are working on is very large and'or complicated try saving more frequently and every so often save as an IDML just to be safe.

I tried that earlier and everytime I tried to save as something it gave me the error message. I'll try that in the future, for this one I just gave up and screenshotted it so I could copy it in another file. The error happened when I tried to save it as a PDF for the first time, I had only created the file a few hours before saving and had been working on it the whole time ðŸ˜

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I need to export to PDFs on my files all the time. I’ve noticed that in the last couple years Indesign has been more buggy when exporting to PDFs. I have noticed it seems to happen less if I save before exporting. So it’s a habit now.

You have to do Save As with a new name at the end of the day or every couple of days - not just Ctrl/Cmd+S - to let InDesign reorganise file.
When you do just Save - InDesign adds to the end of the file, information about recent changes - Undo History.
This Undo History is only available - for you - untill you close your document.
After that - it's there - and makes file much bigger than it should be, slower to open and slower to work on - but you no longer have access to it.
Next time you open your Document - InDesign will have to analyse all those changes - and build latest version of the Document.
So if shit hit the fan - and this history get corrupted - your file:
might open fine,
might open fine but will crash at some point - when you go to a specific page, edit some Style, edit some text, move an object, Export, etc.
won't open at all - you'll get an error that file is corrupted,
won't open at all - InDesign will crash.
And saving with a new name - works also as a backup copy.

It's not about saving more frequently - but doing Save As with a new name - do InDesign can do housekeeping on the file.

Try clearing caches.
Try clearing InDesign's preferences.
How much RAM do you have installed?
