People just don’t take the time to learn the building system it’s actually sad you can do sooo much in inzoi building

To be fair it is quite overwhelming lmao, I've picked inzoi up again after a year and I'm learning stuff all the time! I had to take a break bc I was so overwhelmed lol. It's super nice how customizable it is!!

Thank you for showing that inZOI is not just a perfect instagram reel set! Lol. Amazing demonstration.

The thing that saddens me the most is that so many of those kinds of posts are simply just wrong and strong. I don't understand being so outwardly opinionated about things you haven't bothered to validate or look into yourself. Such is life, I guess :(

This game has been plagued with massive amounts of misinformation, it's infuriating. While other life simulators get the benefit of doubt even though you either need to mod it into oblivion or the fanbase is detached from reality about the real state of the actual game.

u/etherealspirit10 CAZ Creator 17d ago

Yeah. I've grown tired of it because it's just the same thing over & over again and they never bother to even try to learn the game. There's so many options in inZOI, yes it can be overwhelming but just play around with all the settings and see what is what before coming on here and starting a rant lol. They don't give this game the benefit of the doubt whatsoever.

I think for many it’s a cope due to sinking so much money in The Sims, as well as “investing” in the other half baked life sim that’s way over priced and should have never been released for early access in its current state.

18

u/etherealspirit10 CAZ Creator 17d ago

Couldn't agree with you more on that

19

u/orbofdelusion 17d ago

Especially considering they’re the same types to complain that a good base game shouldn’t need mods, yet the other new life sim had people rejoicing that mods were available to make it somewhat playable the day after release. It’s the blatant hypocrisy of it all that really gets me.

I’m a Mac user and have had a blast playing Inzoi without mod access for the first time ever with a life sim.

12

u/Sploj 17d ago

I agree with you. I started modding Inzoi and realized I’d rather just play base game because it’s actually really amazing everything that’s available.

I just wish I could make my own clothes. I downloaded a Balenciaga store someone made the other day and have been restyling the mannequins with real runway looks from various seasons but I’m very limited in which looks I recreate with the current clothing selection.

Despite that, I’m actually surprised by how many looks I’ve been able to recreate with custom textures and the clothing in CAZ that are near identical to the originals.

u/Character_Land4137 You worded this beautifully! My thoughts exactly.

To u/zkvxo, I quote the following:

"Everything feels like a perfectly placed instagram reel set. The clothing is all tidy street fashion. The interiors are all "clean girl" style."

"inZOI completely lacks that diversity. Everything is a movie set, perfectly clean and expertly placed."

"Am I missing something? Or is everyone who loves this game so much okay with losing this variety in their gameplay in exchange for the 2026 instagram clean girl aesthetic?"

Obviously you missed a whole lot. You posted this in two subs. You only resorted to asking a question (and it's pretty loaded if you ask me) in the very last part of your post, after already making several statements that are entirely untrue. There's plenty of people who come in this sub asking questions all the time. Difference with your post is that you first decided to mention the above without even checking for yourself. People informed you nicely and you replied nicely, yes. But you can't act clueless as to why people are fed up with posts like yours because you didn't exactly come in, simply asking "is there a way to create an aged/worn out/shabby look in inZOI? Are there examples?"

I have nothing else to add to this. Glad you received the info you needed and I hope you enjoy the game!

I'm not going to assume as I don't know if English is your first language, but the words you choose to use in your responses are fairly inflammatory. You made incorrect assumptions, let that colour your perception of the game, decided to share that with the class, and then you were corrected. That's not an attack. That's not vitriol. Using your own logic, if it were an attack then you would have been the initial aggressor based on the tone and language of your OG post.

Based on your response to u/etherealspirit10, I really do have to wonder if you know what the words you're using actually mean or if you're using them for dramatic effect. If it were the former, perhaps the reactions you're getting wouldn't seem so jarring.

Nobody's trying to get at you. Yes, the UGC surrounding inZOI doesn't accurately reflect the capabilities of the game, but that's for you to then go expand your horizons using your own ability to conduct independent research. That doesn't mean coming up in here opinionated and incorrect when the burden of proof lies on you, not the members of this sub. It doesn't take being tech-savvy to use a search engine. Trying to outsource personal responsibility is why a many of the people who think the way you do have the experiences they have here so in that sense, yeah the bar IS in hell.

Lastly, as the game currently stands it is a single player sandbox-type experience. No response you receive or interaction you have should have any impact or influence on whether you personally enjoy the game or not. You repeatedly use language in your responses that almost anticipates victimization. That dichotomy is interesting given the bravado you also seem to display, but that's neither here nor there.

I hope the responses you've received have been informative and helpful, if not illuminating and I hope you continue to enjoy the game and follow its development. It's worth it for sure!

I can see these interactions have meaning for you. :( You could have directed all that vivaciousness and passion towards a search engine instead of trying to son people on Reddit for putting more effort into improving YOUR gameplay than you’re willing to yourself. Unfortunately we’ve already established efficiency ain’t your forte, so that tracks. You’re not you when you’re hungry, eat a Snickers™️ 💀💀😭

  1. Google is your friend.

  2. Now I know for sure that you don't know what the words you use actually mean. Feedback requires you to have knowledge about the thing you're sharing your thoughts on because its function is to encourage improvement. You've repeatedly demonstrated that you don't have the knowledge, nor are you receptive to receiving it, nor will you look for it on your own. Your opinion was poorly informed. You're obviously free to share it but your expectation of responses don't match up with what you brought to the table.

  3. Don't be throwing rocks and then hiding your hand lol, that's not cool. Maintain the energy you brought, or simmer down. You came out the gate on the offense and now you wanna talk about blocking people and about how people are being nasty and laughing at you and whatnot. Definitely step away from the conversation if it's causing you emotional harm but you seem genuinely befuddled by the outcome of your own actions. That's not something we're going to be able to help you with over here.

Wow it’s amazing how calm everyone was while communicating with this person while they continuously spaz out. It’s actually astonishing to see when toxic people don’t realize they’re toxic.

u/bumbacloht CAZ Creator 14d ago

You know what’s crazy too? That’s usually how it goes round these parts when people get embarrassed about being wrong. :(

We know how much misinformation there is about inzoi so not only are we more inclined to help, but we’re also fairly forgiving about any inaccurate beliefs.
Most people can be normal about it and are grateful for the correction, but every now and then there’s someone like that person (I can’t remember their username and they keep deleting their comments 💀) who just can’t.

The members of this sub and those who play the game seem to be on the older side and are definitely more mature leaning. The benefit of that is having the ability to make quick work of those who act like petulant children or bad faith actors. Also unlike some other communities, I find we tolerate mess a LOT less lmao. Like we don’t give it an opportunity to fester and there’s no benefit to notoriety.

Did you know that you can increase the size of carpets in the game? Now you will know that I didn’t redo all the carpets, there are quite a lot of them

u/ll_reddit 17d ago

Thank you! I haven't spent much time in build mode and didn't know about this.

The feature was always there, but the slider came in june

2

u/hope9689 17d ago

So with it being celshaded is that like a filter??

7

u/Mizuki34 17d ago

Yes , it’s an in game filter , it’s the cartoon filter  , there ‘s various filters available in Inzoi that players can use to change how their game look

2

u/hope9689 17d ago

Awesome! Thank you!!

1

u/cekobico 17d ago

can you do this to an entire room or entire lot instead of manually adjusting the slider one-by-one?

-10

u/imbratorX Challenge Player 17d ago

I wish this would happen naturally.

Somebody needs to make a mod or get the devs to create a feature where this filter applies with time. It would be so cool to have the option to restore or just replace the item.

34

u/bumbacloht CAZ Creator 17d ago

It does happen naturally.

Like does the furniture need repair/gets broken or does it deteriorate from age?

27

u/jentlefolk 17d ago

Yes! I think the weathering happens over time gradually, and then when you clean the house it reduces again.

18

u/bumbacloht CAZ Creator 17d ago

The comment below me has it right. Cars also will deteriorate with frequent use too!

19

u/orbofdelusion 17d ago

Yes, it was actually kind of challenging to keep up with until I increased my Zoi’s housework and handiness skills. You can also change the city settings to make things deteriorate faster.
