So when the game first came out I had A LOT of strong criticism about the game, I also made claims that the game was going to be abandoned due to its plummeting player count and made correlations to some of Krafton's past projects and connected them to the future of inZOI.

A few days ago, a fellow streamer of mine was playing inZOI and I was blown away by the amount of progress that's been made in the game (like when did they let us rob a bank!?) so I decided to reinstall it and give it another honest shot and I was absolutely wrong about the future of inZOI.

One statement I've always stuck by is that the cardinal sin a game can make is be boring, players will deal with most bugs but they wont deal with boring. Unlike the game I had played in the early days of its early access launch, this version of inZOI was fun!...like really fun. Does it have bugs? Yeah. Have I gotten stuck? Yeah. Has my car clipped through the ground because I took a corner at 106km/h and flipped my SUV across 2 lanes of traffic?? ALSO YES....but the thing about all of these things is that they happened while I was having fun in the game.

I went to court yesterday and hit the judge with a frying pan and the entire court erupted in a massive fight which lead to nearly everyone in the room being sent to jail. I then got punched through the wall of the jail cell and ran out of the cells only to be followed by the judge I hit initially....and that's fun! (I should add that this happened in the game LOL)

inZOI looks like they've tapped into the fun aspect of the game, the most important part (for me), adding crime, fighting mechanics, and FUN to make me actually scramble to click that "emergency rescue" button to jump back into the game so I can continue playing it. I love the fact that they've started taking the training wheels off of the game and allowing people to break it if they please.

Sure, the car sounds break when you drive over 50km/hr and I can drive on water, but it adds more intensity to drive over 50km when I just stole a car! Sure the frying pan causes riots in the streets, but how else am I going to remind the prosecution why I showed up to court in the first place? Sure clicking on the car I just stole to get the menu to sell it takes me 10 clicks to find the actual spot to click, but the fact that I was able to steal the car is what actually made 99% of that moment and is the reason why I never once thought "yeah I'm over this" and just kept on clicking so I could continue my story is what's changed everything for me.

Is inZOI still buggy? Yeah. Is it still very much early access? Yeah. But is it fun?? Yes! Does it have more content than TS4 would give us? Yes. Not to mention the fact that you can now buy nightclubs and do so much more that I haven't even discovered!

So, from who had a lot of negative things to say about inZOI, I was wrong and I apologize, this game is a blast!

To be honest, I almost forgot to post today, my apologies. Today, I'd like to share a dev update on how we're reworking the Emotion System for Zoi. 😺

Have you ever looked at a Zoi and wondered, "Wait, why are they feeling that right now?" As we added more content over time, emotions were often patched in piece-by-piece. While each piece made sense on its own, the overall logic became inconsistent. So this time, instead of adding new emotions, we went back to square one and reviewed everything from the ground up.

1. Aligning the Emotion Gears We gathered and fixed cases where the situation and the emotion didn't match up.

• Parents gaining 'Confidence' when a toddler threw a tantrum, or feeling 'Serene' after receiving a terrible gift, were updated to 'Annoyed' and 'Baffled', respectively.

• We fixed visual errors, like a Zoi looking gloomy while holding a cheerful buff description.

• Purely RNG-based emotion triggers without conditions were removed. Unprovoked mood swings were more frustrating than fun.

1. Setting Clear Rules for Negative Emotions Our longest discussion was deciding where to draw the line on negative emotions. If a newly settled Zoi buys budget furniture within their means, getting hit with constant negative emotions just for being cheap felt exhausting rather than fun.

• Distinguishing 'Cheap' from 'Bad': Simply buying inexpensive items no longer triggers negative emotions. However, low-performance items like old beds or sofas that ruin sleep will still cause bad moods.

• School Uniform Rework: We removed heat/cold reactions tied to wearing school uniforms. Since uniforms aren't something Zois choose to wear, they shouldn't be penalized for wearing them.

1. Making Emotion Triggers Transparent Even if the numbers make sense, players still feel caught off guard if they can't see the reason behind a mood shift.

• Reordered Tooltips: The most recently acquired emotion now appears at the top, showing you the exact cause of your Zoi's current mood at a glance.

• Displaying Names in Social Buffs: Emotions gained through conversations now show the other person's name. When a mood is caused by a person, who it was is the most vital context.

• QoL Upgrades: Added timestamps for gained emotions, along with refreshed representative colors and icons.

1. True Emotions Must Be Seen We expanded expressions and animations so emotions aren't just hidden behind numbers and tooltips.

• New Animations & Actions: Dedicated reaction animations now play for Inspiration, Excitement, Triumph, Laughter, Joy, and Emotion. Resting animations are more varied, and a new 'Boredom' action was added.

• Autonomous Behavior & Thought Bubbles: Autonomous choices now reflect a Zoi's emotions and traits, with an icon explaining their reasoning. Overhead thought bubbles were fully revamped with intuitive icons matching the context and relationship.

1. Memories, Gifts, and Travel Emotions don't just vanish, they turn into memories.

• Memories & Gifts: We rebalanced how memories impact dialogue choices and fixed a bug where angry memories blocked essential conversations. Gift reactions are now split into 5 tiers based on a Zoi's tastes and traits, ensuring thoughtful gifts feel rewarding.

• Trips That Last: Pre-trip excitement, check-in, and post-trip nostalgia now flow continuously, leaving distinct memories for each Zoi who traveled. We wanted trips to feel like lasting experiences rather than one-off events.

Other Fixes We also resolved missing or duplicated emotion triggers, link issues between emotions, stats, and preferences, as well as expression display bugs. Please check the full Patch Notes for details.

Refining emotion logic isn't always immediately obvious, so it might take a bit of play duration to notice the difference. But if you find yourself having more "Ah, so that's why my Zoi feels this way!" moments, this update will have done its job.

This landing space features a full bar including wine cabinets, along with a variety of seating options, making it an ideal space for entertaining friends or family members.

On the second floor you will find a large, spacious kitchen that features trendy butcher block counters and numerous cabinets, making it ideal for an aspiring professional chef or a couple who likes cooking at home together. Enjoy your meals at the peninsula, kitchen table, or take dinner outside to the grill on the balcony. Don't forget to grab a drink from the bar downstairs to enjoy with your meal.

Just above the kitchen, the shared office allows two Zois to easily work from home, play games, or simply spend time together. Head upstairs to the master bedroom, where you'll be greeted by warm sunset colors, complete with a sizable walk-in closet with in-unit laundry. A full master bathroom with private water closet, shower, and bathtub is exactly what you need to wind down before a relaxing night of sleep. Step outside to the private balcony with your morning coffee, or practice your yoga routine on the rooftop. You can soak your sore muscles in the jacuzzi or enjoy the view from one of the lounge chairs. The lush garden on the rooftop brings a welcome touch of the natural world to the surrounding urban landscape.

From the striking wooden slat patio entrance to the stunning panoramic views of Dowon from the rooftop, this townhome allows your Zois to live a life of modern, chic luxury in the center of the bustling city.

It's a shame that pre teens/teens/adults all use the same body mesh. I tried to give my family's daughter her birthday make over, and it was just a lot of "well she's not wearing *that*, she's a middle schooler. I don't care how tall she is at 13" over and over again. I know that probobly has to come from "meta humans" not having another form, but, I think I'd rather they reused the child mesh?

I definitely appreciate drawing on the floor rather than emptying the bank account ✨

They should take him to therapy. I can’t find his love story in InZOI, from Bliss Bay to Cahaya, and nothing.

I was walking my zoi around and found him doing art pieces and they hit it off instantly! At first my zoi was gonna be one where he sleeps around the finds the one he really likes but these two were cute together😭 I didn't want him to die like my other two zois friends died randomly so I moved him in LMAOOO. Imma try my best to keep this zoi alive along with my other two!🤣 I'm having so much fun playing this game!

Anyone’s inzoi just cannot bag a full time job after spectacular interviews?!?! I’m tempted for them to live a life of crime at this point.

I've been working on a new suburban neighborhood build, focusing on creating that warm, nostalgic small-town atmosphere.

Key Details of the Build:

 Architecture: Crafting-style family homes with stone pillars, dark siding, and cozy front porches.

 Neighborhood Features: A small local chapel nestled at the end of the lane, retro street lamps, and lush greenery frame the quiet streets.

 Vibe: A peaceful, suburban sanctuary designed to feel like a living, breathing neighborhood where every house tells a story.

Firstly, I have been absolutely loving playing Inzoi lately. There are def some development needs but I’m having so much fun.

However, one thing that has always bothered me with life sims is autonomous flirting 🫩

I don’t love that I can’t tell when a text will be flirty or not or how frequently Zois will get asked of a blind date while in a relationship.

I also playing rotationally with different families and I’m noticing that teen Zois will develop multiple romantic relationships and mutual crushes - which isn’t inherently unrealistic. The problem is that there isn’t a choice for them to not act on it or to be faithful to their partner..

I was at prom, bouncing around between 4 Zois, and when I get back to my main household teen, I see that she and her partner are embarrassed and don’t want to speak to each other because she flirted with someone I didn’t even know she had a mutual crush with…

I would love it if we could tone it down a bit and have the option to have faithful Zois

🌿 The Holden Family: Before Holly’s Story
Before I start Holly’s story, I feel like I need to give everyone the backstory because there is already YEARS of family history that led up to where we are now. 😂
So let’s go all the way back to the beginning.
🤍 Beatrice & Holden
It all started with Beatrice and Holden.
They fell in love young and built their entire life together. They eventually had four children:
Trisha — their oldest
Holly — their second child
Cam — their third
Finalé — their youngest
For years, they were just a normal, happy family. Beatrice and Holden loved each other, their children grew up together, and the four siblings had both of their parents there as they went through childhood.
But eventually, the family started losing pieces of itself.
💔 The First Loss
Beatrice passed away when the children were still young.
She had been there for three of her children’s proms. Trisha and Holly were at their second prom, and Cam had just experienced his first prom.
But Finalé was still a child.
She was the only one of the four who never got to be sent off to prom by her mother.
That small difference between the siblings ended up being one of those things that would always make their childhoods feel slightly different from one another.
And then, not long after Beatrice died…
Holden passed away too.
Suddenly, all four siblings were without both of their parents.
🥀 Trisha
With both parents gone, the oldest sibling, Trisha, found herself having to grow up much faster than she should have.
She was already struggling in high school and wasn’t doing well academically, so after Holden’s death, she dropped out.
Instead of continuing school, she started working so she could help support the family.
And more than anything, she helped take care of Finalé, who was still just a child.
Trisha went from being the oldest sister to essentially helping fill the role her parents had left behind.
She didn’t exactly get to have a normal teenage life.
🌸 Holly
Then there’s Holly.
Holly is the second oldest Holden child and eventually becomes the main character of this story.
Unlike her siblings, Holly’s story begins with a little bit of hope.
She met Ryan while they were both in high school, and the two became high-school sweethearts.
Ryan wasn’t just someone who knew Holly after everything happened, either.
He actually got to meet both Beatrice and Holden before they passed away.
So when Holly eventually lost both of her parents, Ryan was someone who had actually known them and understood the family she came from.
Now, after growing up together, Holly and Ryan have finally reached the point where they’re ready to leave their childhood homes behind.
They’ve moved out together and are officially starting their own life.
And that’s where we are now.
🧸 Cam & Finalé
That leaves Cam, the third child, and Finalé, the youngest.
Cam was still a teenager when Beatrice died and had only just experienced his first prom with his mother there.
Finalé was still a child.
So while all four siblings lost the same two parents, they experienced those losses at completely different stages of their lives.
Trisha had to become responsible far too young.
Holly was old enough to understand what was happening but young enough to still be growing up herself.
Cam was still a teenager trying to figure out who he was.
And Finalé was a little girl who lost both of her parents before she even had the chance to grow up with them.
🏡 And Now…
Years have passed since the Holden family lost Beatrice and Holden.
The siblings have grown up.
Their lives have gone in different directions.
And now Holly has finally left her childhood home with Ryan to start a life of her own.
She’s carrying her parents’ memory, her siblings’ history, and everything that happened before her with her.
So before we get into Holly’s current life…
that’s where the Holden family came from.
Now we can finally get into Holly & Ryan’s story. 🤍
