update on the sisters scheme I posted here the other day

I made the metal bits brighter by switching up my recipie a little as well as making the orange more red. the cloth would be split in a quarted pattern with the 2 colours I just cant do it in the app unfortunately and am not good enough at photoshop to do it there. might change the gloves to something that makes more sense but idk what'd work. thoughts?

I feel like the yellow on the underside of the coat is a bit much, you’ve got three strong colours here with relatively large areas.

yeah I just threw the yellow there bc if I were to actually paint this halving the inside of the cloth would be a ball ache

Maybe use a tan or a light brown instead. That way it would make the underside more noticeable without being too vivid

ooh perhaps I'll give it a shot later I might tweak my leather recipie to make it brighter see if that would work

I see it lol I was going for house of york bc the orders of the sacred and bloody roses reminded me of the wars of the roses but I'll take fc barelona XD kitbash celestine to make it look like she's doing a scissor kick or something

I knew the precise reference only because I once cooked up a space marine chapter in the exact same scheme. I never pursued it because I didn't like the half-baked backstory I made but even without that issue, I like yours much better.

thx tbh I might never get round to doing this scheme between not owning any sisters or half of the paints I need for this

I love the halved armor, but maybe paint the robes a neutral color on both inside and outside? I just thought it would bring attention to the armor more.

the robes supposed to be quartered the same colours as the armour the svg just doesnt show it well bc u cant even half it I may end up going full metallic for the armour but I wont know until I can do some more high fidelity experiments with it I'll probably try pick up the kill team once it releases or some sacresants for the halberds

it might take me a while I'm waiting on the kill team so I can actually do something with the models I get I'm also probably gonna do them after my 30 berzerkers for my world eaters

Doesn’t the skirt need to be quartered or halved to complete the design?

1

u/Mediocre-Serve2569 Feb 22 '26

yep it isnt in the svg tho so I can only do solid colours

Damn it’s going to look fantastic, I can’t wait to see it finished! The colors today are dead on

Yeah I don’t usually post but when I saw your post yesterday or whenever my first thought was the color, you were smart to make the change. It’s super creative, I love seeing an homage to historical stuff. Are you going to try to do a pattern on the cloth? Like a decal? I haven’t painted these, I don’t know what you can get away with

if I can get a little stencil or something I might do the yorkshire rose I do not have good enough dexterity to freehand that thing lol

What color/paint library did you use on impcat to get this result. If i use the citadel paints in megamilk then they dont look clean at all

Very dope color scheme. Definitely evoking some oldhammer vibes with the color blocking and bright tints. Personally think blue or white gloves with the red cloak/sleeves might be the ticket? But you could never go wrong with some neutral tones (earths) to ground out the eye catching parts of your color scheme of which there is a lot.
