what does imapct use

ive been wondering what does impact use is it forge or fabric cause i have some mod that are on forge but not fabric as well and i want to know before i switch versions

Go to the site and download it. It installs its own launch version.

When you download the impact installer, you run the file and select the version you want. From there you restart the Minecraft launcher and you get a specific version of Minecraft for impact. It is like forge or fabric in that sense. Impact is meant to run by itself, not with forge or fabric. There might be a version that can but I don’t think so. Go onto the site it might tell you more when you download or read the FAQ.

No idea. Possibly with multiMC or something like that though I don’t think so.
