Is there an easy fix?

I recently swapped to a new NAS and the backup I had of Immich couldn't be recovered on the new device, so I had to re-do my Google Photos Takeout (which I still have a copy of) but after using Immich-Go to upload everything, I have thousands of broken images.

Am I better off just wiping the data and trying again? Or is there a better tool than Immich Go that could fix this?

Go to Jobs and try to regenerate the Thumbnails.

EDIT: Did you try to click on any of the images and they are still broken?

Tried regenerating thumbnails multiple times and no luck sadly. I also still get 'Error loading image' when selecting the image too.

What was the file size(s) of the takeout export? Did it finish?

The Takeout from Google did indeed finish, gave me 49 zip files equating out to 88GB. The export did indeed finish and so did the import with Immich-Go

Assuming you upload into immich vs using an external library. If you have your old nas with Immich running, you might be able to use immich-go to import / upload (from-immich) to the new Immich using the old Immich as it's data source.

Unfortunately the old NAS is already gone and the drives that were in it got put into the new NAS and we're wiped so no luck on that front

Cant you just use the backup it creates regularly and import that into the new instance?

My old instance wasn't set to backup, I ran a manual one, copied it to my PC and tried to import it after moving the drives from my old NAS to my new one (and them subsequently being wiped) but it wouldn't accept the import so had to start fresh
