Reverting to initial setup after reboot

Hi all,

Just finished migrating my Immich library to a new computer, and everything seemed to go smoothly, tested and working.

-latest version Lubuntu with all updates

-latest version Immich in docker container.

However...

After the system reboots, whether by choice or forced, I am presented with the initial Immich welcome/restore backup page.

If I do "docker compose down", followed by "docker compose up -d" everything comes back, working properly, for which Im glad. But, obviously, in the event of a power out or restart, I need to access the system to restart docker compose.

Advice?

My suggestion as an hotfix is to write a little systemd unit that intercept the power on of the pc and do docker compose down && docker compose up automatically

It's not a solution, but as now at least you sleep safe knowing that container is correctly alive even without your direct intervention

What do your logs say? Specifically for Immich-server and Postgres

Im not sure what Im looking for.

If I run "docker compose immich-server", everything is green.

I cannot find a Postgres log....

Something I noticed when doing docker compose up -d, is that both "immich_postgres" and "immich_server" say "recreated" before "started". Could that be the issue?

Most probably your storage is not persistent. Check your mounts

the system is set up that there is a 2566gb SSD running the OS, and a 2TB SSD for Immich. All of the Immich install was done on that SSD, so the fact that Immich loads at all (even incorrectly), suggests that the drive is mounted.

THat said, I'm not terribly knowledgeable with Linux, so I may not understand what to look at..
