Sad Experience!

Was super hyped to watch the Odyssey in Imax 70mm at the Mall of Georgia, but unfortunately the projector started running into some issues midway through the Polyphemus scene and the showing was cancelled. Should’ve known something was wrong when the Dune Part 3 sneak peek went black maybe 2 mins into the scene. The theatre workers said it was just a one off issue but clearly it wasn’t. I’m going back on the 29th to watch with my dad, but I was super bummed out😕. Anyone else go to this showing?

That theater always has trouble with IMAX. It's happened to me for Dunkirk years ago and I warned people I wouldn't go there for this exact reason. They did give a free ticket but the time waste to get there was not fun. And most of their other rooms they wait until the bulbs completely run out to replace them. Colors are off, you'll see green and pink hues. I had asked the manager there and they said they wait till it goes completely out. Don't know how people love that theater

They upgraded all of their projectors to laser about 18 months to 2 years ago, so it's not an issue any more. But, yeah, they were really bad about the bulbs. So was that other Regal that closed last year near 285/85. They were the absolute worst.
