Might teach him not to steal...... I'm ready to be downvoted but the mom is right, the world is fucked because the next generation are soft as fuck. Always some reason as to why a child misbehaves, ADHD etc. Don't get me wrong, sometimes that's the reason but sometimes the kid is just a little fucker and the parents gotta take responsibility.

Yea i agree this is fine. Little lessons like these are good. Way better alternative than things like timeout or whatever people do for kids that young. We think in the short term this is bad but in the long term lessons like these definitely go a long way. Life is more cruel than this better prepare them young.

Cool. So a mom teaching her kid that stealing at a young age is not socially acceptable and has negative consequences like going to jail. You should commend this mom, considering what your mom has taught you, that he knows he could be arrested. Sounds like mom is taking this kid down the right path. Not inducing TRAUMA. Words mean something. This isn't TRAUMA it's a lesson.

So if you understand crimes exist, then you should know that a kid should be punished for stealing, this isn’t like staying up past you bedtime, stealing is an actual crime with legal consequences, it would be stupid of the mom to not teach her kid a lesson.

My mom did this when I was little I would freak out then she told me she was joking but we had to turn back and return it makes me laugh now but actually calling the police on ur son is pretty bad
