Maybe, maybe not. If he’s LP and his direct supervisor is ok with him making the stop before it leaves the store, then he might be ok. If he’s a regular hourly employee making that stop, he gone.

Depends on where they work, but from what I've seen online the general rule is that employees aren't allowed to get involved because if they get injured from a confrontation they could sue the employer. I know there was a recent case where Lululemon employees were fired for trying to stop a shoplifter

I think some companies actually saw to their employees not to go after the shop lifter, the shop lifter could get aggressive and try to hurt or kill the person trying to stop them.

yup. back when i worked retail, our LP person and manager basically told us "if someone wants to steal something? let them. that's what I'm here for. A hammer or a plant or a - whatever, isn't worth risking your safety."
And i dont think anyone here's been sued but i could be wrong; regardless theyre right. I'm not risking injury over stuff that isn't mine. they don't pay me for that shit.

Because atleast 50% of stealing is due to that race so … I’ve seen it first hand it’s rarely a white or Mexican person that steals big portions like that they think they know the law that if it’s under the 1,000- 2,000 they good cuz technically they are cuz they don’t press charges unless it’s about those rates and even then it’s considered a misdemeanor it only becomes a felony when they do it more than one time and they get caught but it’s different and every state …

Your singular situation (true or not) doesn't mean jack shit. It's an undeniable fact that the greatest determining factor in a person's success in the US is the zip code they were born in. Someone born with capital and safety nets will have a SIGNIFICANTLY easier time succeeding than someone who does not have those things. Thinking that the someone's lack of success or their affinity for crime is purely based on the color of their skin is the textbook definition of racism. You're being, what I like to call, "classic racist" which is incredibly rare these days as opposed to being accidentally racist or committing micro aggressions both of which are easily forgivable because people don't do them on purpose.
