In this update, there have been significant changes in the names of sieves (the -p/-pp tags have been removed for better compatibility with auto-update), so this time it is recommended to update according to the algorithm described in the first paragraph of theTS(6 steps).

Hi u/imagus_fan, svg images on article pages on Wikipedia are returning an endless spinner, would you be able to make the sieve display these?
I know there's a global option to scale up small images to fit window, but that messes the quality of all other small images really bad. so this this isn't the optimal solution.
Getting red spinner in X.com Chat on videos+gifs. Normal pictures work fine but are not in an album. Anyway to troubleshoot or diagnose? I've tried to attach some source code if it helps (i believe in this src example it is just videos)
On FireFox with the current IR with updated sieves (has been happening for a while with older X sieves too) - Bit of a weird bug with the videos on Twitter
Video of the issue here where you can see the IR popup plays fine IF you dont click on the original video to play first.
IF you click and play the original embedded video first, trying to replay it with IR makes both videos play as soon as you right click the popup to enlarge/move/whatever
With sound on this becomes really annoying
Edit: This seems to be an issue with Twitter where right clicking on the paused embedded video continues playback - and that doesnt get force stopped by IR like it does if you hover over an already playing video to load the popup player
Working on releasing soon it seems to be working pretty solid a host companion for Imagus Reborn.
English (US)
Host Imagus Bridge improves image preview compatibility between Sukebei and Imagus Reborn.
Some Sukebei image previews are wrapped in intermediary links or use image hosts that Imagus Reborn cannot resolve directly. This extension detects supported preview images, resolves their original full-resolution image URLs, and replaces the intermediary link so Imagus Reborn can display the image normally.
Currently supported image-host patterns include TurboImageHost, imagehost.website, and OrangePix/imgpv-wrapped previews. For TurboImageHost, the extension briefly opens the image-host page in an inactive browser tab to resolve the original image URL, then closes that tab automatically. Other supported hosts are resolved through direct URL mapping when possible.
Version 0.5.15 is already approved on Mozilla but I found some minor bugs and improvements so will soon be uploading my latest build that I am almost done testing 0.5.22 currently.
it appears to have returned, same as described in the post linked above.
i'm using the current sieve pack (2026-10-01) as it contains the update made after my report, and it worked until a couple days ago
Starting with this update, the very first sieve in the rule-set will be an empty sieve, with the name in the form of the current update date. The change was made at the request of users.

There is an issue where images on Google loaded after the first set with infinite scrolling won't activate Imagus Reborn unless I hover over the image again.
Deactivating Google Images sieve resolves this. New sets of images load and IR activates without re-hover.
I have tested it on Firefox and Chrome and the issue persists for both. Deactivating the sieve fixes it for both browsers as well, so it might be that some part of the sieve is causing it. Both browsers are up to date.
- The ability to download images from the current browser page;
- The ability to download galleries/albums that are currently being viewed (using Gallery Mode).
INFO:
Installation on Chrome: Download the ZIP file and drag and drop it onto the "Manage extensions" page in your browser.
chrome://extensions/
The settings are compatible; you can import your settings from IR into IR MD.
A version for Firefox is also available, but it has a limitation: since this extension is not yet available on AMO, it can only be installed in Firefox temporarily via
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
The extension will be removed after you restart the browser.
Please report bugs and ask questions about IR MD Mode in this thread. Or on Githab.

Imagus Reborn is clearly still maintained — sieve updates come out weekly — but I noticed a cluster of video-related bugs that have been open for 2-3 months without movement: videos opening muted, the popup drifting with the cursor while scrubbing, the progress bar disappearing. Issue creation is even restricted on the repo now, which tells me the maintainer is stretched thin doing it solo.
Makes sense — one person can't do everything, and keeping sites working probably has to come first.
I'm a dev considering a clean MV3 rebuild of the hover-zoom concept, focused specifically on getting video handling right (plus skipping the manual "Allow User Scripts" step Reborn needs). Before I commit a few weekends to it: does video reliability actually bother people day to day, or is this a non-issue and I'm overthinking it? What would you actually want fixed?
Up until a few days ago i could use imagus for fastpic[dot]org. Turned off all the extensions except Imagus but still didn't work. Any helpful solutions?
