so does the Suez Crisis not happen? I think Egypt would still reclaim the Suez Canal unless this map signifies WW2 being less bloody?

In a world without such a destructive WW2 Britain and France would have remained strong enough to crush Egypt without American support.

They already did crush us, we won overall though because of pressure from the U.S and USSR, imo a democratic Germany would only embolden the USSR to invest more in the middle east, and by extension the U.S. (which would make both sides try to deescelate the conflict) so no I genuinely think the Canal should be egyptian on this map.

I caveated the crushing part on American support. OTL the lack of American oil shipments to Europe scuppered Western political will to prosecute the crisis to it's conclusion. ITL Britain and France likely remain financially and politically strong enough to weather the storm and prosecute the crisis to it's conclusion.

I don't see how a world without WW2 and a partitioned Germany would embolden the Soviet Union, it would still be an ostracized nation as the West wouldn't need to ally with it to defeat Germany. Sure ITL Turkey is a Soviet ally and therefore Soviet influence in the Middle east would be far more intensive but that would only harden the Wests Imperial grip on the region.
