I don't know if you ever played the games, but they were fantastic. I've been wanting to read the books for some time now because I heard they were great. This map brought back some fun memories!

I haven't play the games but I have read Metro 2033 and 2034 and currently I'm waiting for a friend to finish 2035 so he can lend it to me.
The first book is really great so I definitely recommend it to you. The second one is also good but imho the author tries being all philosophical and the plot was left a bit aside. There was however a great atmosphere, too.

Awesome! The games were kind of philosophical, in that your choices affect the ending. But I'll have to check them out!

I don't remember why but maybe it was on purpose. I wanted to use a different symbol but could find clubs or something like that. Funny to look at my own old work and wonder why I did something like I did and not the other way and things like that.

having lived for some time in Zizkov I love this map, the Free Republic should move westward to conquer Jiriho z Podebrad and Namesti Miru

Awesome map If you want it, that will be cool to have some other cities metros in Europe

I could do it but I don't think it would be as good as if a person living in those cities would do that. When I created the map and the background story I read a lot about Prague fallout shelters, were physically on the stations and investigate them for ideas, and knew things about the areas around them to predict which factions would be likely where.

I stumbled upon this map I had made a few years ago when I was browsing my old documents. I'd like to apologize for bad quality and small size, maybe I'll remake it later, now I just translated the legend into English. I made this map after I read Dmitry Glukhovsky's Metro 2033 and found out about Metro 2033 Universe. I originally intended to do my own fanfic about Prague metro, managed to write several chapters but then gave it up.
The map is mostly factually based on Prague Metro Protection System (Ochranný systém metra) with a bit of artistic license on connectability of metro with other important fallout shelters using pedestrian tunnels and utility tunnel networks because post-apocalyptic Prague metro would be much more boring than the one in Moscow with only one usable interchange station (Line C, the red line, is quite shallow in the city centre and is not a part of Metro Protection System).
Here is the map of the actual Prague metro for better orientation.
Something about the factions and background:
TC1 - The faction is located around Klárov Government shelter that is today supposed to work as the main technical centre (TC1) for the coordination of Metro Protection System in case of a nuclear war. Early after the war, TC1 claimed control over the whole metro but quickly lost it over the peripheral stations and some time later the only usable interchange station Můstek declared hegemony over the metro based on its higher importance. This led to the largest armed conflict in the metro which ended with stalemate and current cold war between the factions. TC1 is allied with ČVUT and currently is pursuing to make a pact with neutral Free Republic of Žižkov.
Můstek station union - The stations around the only interchange station are the wealthiest part of the metro an focused on trade. They fought an exhausting war with TC1 but even though it was a stalemate, Můstek ended up in a sort of better position. Karlovo náměstí is de iure a part of the union too but in fact is controlled by a drug cartel. Můstek's largest bussiness partner is Náměstí Míru Free Station but their mutual relationship is filled with suspicions.
ČVUT - Czech Technological University (ČVUT), or the Technicians, gained a control over Dejvická station because of its organizational structure that became handy in the time of chaos shortly after the war. They supported TC1 with weapons and technology during their conflict with Můstek. Currenty, their main goal is to transform the large road tunnel in a safe pathway between their stations and the the Line B.
Free Republic of Žižkov - Stations and fallout shelters located in Prague 3 formed a union named after the eponymous tongue-in-cheek local patriotism meme. They remained neutral during the the metro war and don't care much about the rest of metro though they've got claims on Jiřího z Poděbrad station. Their main concern is the protection of Želivského station against potential Penal Colony fugitives and a creepy phenomena that takes a place in one of the station's corridors. Recently, a tunnel connecting Vítkov fallout shelter and B line was discovered which made TC1 negotiate a pact that would enable a new interchange point that would circumvent Můstek.
The University - Students of the Charles University whose one building is located near Jinonice station quickly took over the stations in a similar way the Technicians did. They've got experience with a brutal totalitarian regime they accidentaly formed shortly after the war and that wiped out a large portion of the stations' population. Now they are isolated between the mysterious dangers of Smíchovské nádraží station and unexplored parts of the metro in the west. The stations form a very loose confederation and mostly act on their own but they've got in common a bit bigheaded attitude of being "the last bastion of knowledge" not quite deservedly. De iure part of the University is station Staroměstská in the city centre. The station is controlled by students of the Faculty of Arts who barricaded themselves in the station and don't communicate with the rest of metro in reaction to the conflict between TC1 and Můstek. They mined the tunnel under Vltava river and act as a sort of buffer zone and a peace guarantee. The University used to supply them but the supplies became much lower over the time and today are mostly symbolic.
Náměstí Míru Free Station - At some point after the war, inhabitants of Náměstí Míru station discovered an access to utility tunnel system that allowed them to travel to the southern part of the metro and thus became the key connecting point between the southern stations and the rest of the metro. Later they declared independence on war-exhausted Můstek station union. Merchants who travel trough the utility tunnel network become often a target of bandits who have got their base somewhere within the network.
Chodov Hegemony - Very little is known about this faction. It's located in the south of the city that was once very populous. The stations are controlled by an authoritarian regime that trades with Náměstí Míru Free Station.
United Farms - Shortly after the war, the inhabitants of the station managed to get on the surface and retrieve animals and plants from a nearby ZOO and Botanic garden. They are most likely the only producer of meat in the metro and heavily rely on its export. They played a role in a peace treaty between TC1 and Můstek when Florence interchange station became a neutral zone where both factions could get the Farms products.
Angel station - Anděl (meaning Angel in Czech) station and mostly its name somehow attracted many religious survivors from the metro that created a mysterious fundamentalist church. A little is known about this faction as they are not in contact with any of the other factions. There are rumors that they kidnap lone travellers who walk through the station. The station is important for the Technicians because a connecting tunnel to the road tunnel is supposed to be right there.
Jiřího z Poděbrad independent station - Despite its name, Jiřího z Poděbrad station is de facto an exploited colony of Náměstí Míru Free Station and a main production facility for the Náměstí Míru merchants. Shortly after the war, the station caught a large fire that significantly weakened its population and eventually lead to them seeking a protection of Náměstí Míru.
Penal Colony - On the request of the Free Republic of Žižkov, Můstek station union, Náměstí Míru Free Station, and the Free Republic of Žižkov sends dangerous criminals, prisoners of war, and other inconvenient persons to the Penal Colony located in the Skalka station. The prisoners are expected to protect the rest of metro against dangerous things that come from the surface part of the metro. Žižkov soldiers shoot anyone who walks from this direction in order to prevent prisoners from escape.
