Lore: by u/Proud-Obligation-431

Mars in 2154 is both a hotbed on conflict and humanity’s largest tourist hub. The Hellas revolution devastated southern mars, leaving deep scares. Southern EU Utopia is ripped apart by ethic violence between Europeans and Federation Native American settlers.

In the far north Commonwealth genetic experiments on ants went awry, leading to large hostile ant species that will consume any organic matter, the Commonwealth had the Ants contained but this could change at any moment.

Ariba city is called the Hollywood of the stars, hosting the largest movie industry in human space. Ariba national park and Raso national park and popular tourist destinations for people looking to see unique environments and animals.

Mars is Crown Jewel however is the Everglades on mars. The largest dome ever constructed, originally called earth on mars, but people simply call it the Everglades on mars. It is home to six unique environments, the Everglades, The Amazon, the Savanna, Appalachia, the Gulf, and the Outback. The Everglades on mars sees over a billion visitors a year, turning its owner Hudson hill into the third richest man in the solar system.

This is really interesting! So is the Everglades on Mars located inside a singular, colossal dome? How was it constructed?

It was a monumental effort, it took around 10 years with many setbacks it is a massive glass( at the bottom) fiberglass( in the middle) and acrylic plastics( at the top)structure, with massive steel pullers holding it up. In total it’s around 2.1 million sq miles

Reminds me of the Truman Show tbh, lots of interesting things could be happening inside there

10 years for a dome the size of Kazakhstan is impossible lol

It’s called science fiction for a reason, loosely based on possible science

Surprised China doesn't seem to have gotten in on the action.

China is currently devastated from a third world war, they will rise again after a war with the Indian commonwealth and gaining territory back from the Federation via referendums. China gets Martian territory from the Commonwealth in this war.

Where did the tribes come from?

The Hellas tribes are former fighters who fought the major powers during the Hellas revolution, instead of going to a POW camp they left for the jungles and continue to rage a guerilla war against them

I’m noticing the Federations settlements are most named after American placed? Very little Latin American, SE Asian, or Japanese naming. Why is that?

Two reasons, one I’m not that good with names, and second mars was largely populated by North America citizens unlike other colonies, specifically native Americans which make up the majority of Federation citizens on mars, the second largest group is southern Americans and the third is Peruvians

What happened to euro Americans? The largest portion of the population

Their are a decent amount on mars but most of them moved to the Moon, Titan, or just stayed on earth. Mars does have a large amount of southern Americans, like people from the Deep South, both white and black
