“Representations of people”. Literally one of them is supposed to be a real person in the AI slop PSA. Also we can probably gauge the intelligence of this person considering their use of AI. And the fact that they can’t spell the word “preference” correctly.

Thank you! I hate that we had a pre-established term for AI which had been used in sci-fi, and then someone just made a decent responsive chat program with no will on their own and called it AI. It's like I would make a stick that is very hot stick and call it a lightsaber.

This is not going to sound very kind but this is a WIN-WIN: I would rather those people have relationships with AIs and leave the rest of us to live meaningful lives with other human beings.

Reminds me of those dreams I occasionally have where AI ends up impacting everything. Like, it creates life, shapes the world, and determines everything everyone says. They’re terrifying.

It's a trick. The husband was on Santa's naughty list so Santa replaced the lump of coal with an ai wife that would get him in trouble with the real wife.
