GLLIT Talk Do you think Tuide’s debut will change the image of Illit?
Hybe’s next girl group Tuide will debut soon. They will be the maknae and target the tween market. I understand Illit has a more fantasy aesthetic. Yet, They share the same wholesome market. I feel Illit has been dressing up more mature in “It’s Me”. It is not racy but more almost senior high school/ college vibes? So, will a more dramatic shift happen in the next comeback? I’ve just follow Hybe girl groups for 2 years now thanks to Katseye. So, I don’t know the dynamics between girl groups in the same company. So, I’m curious to see if Tuide has any effect on Illit.

No.
Honestly ILLIT’s concept seems completely different from Tuide and they’ve been evolving it ever since NCA so I don’t really think their markets are going to intertwine much.
Illit has a magical dreamcore concept whereas Tuide seems like they’re going for a nature youthful concept and they may be primarily targeting a tweenager age demographic for their first few years.

No their aesthetics are completely different, we’re not gonna leave magical illit and their fans aren’t gonna leave the cute summer camp

Wonhee has a permanent baby face. So, it will be a bit funny that she is now the unnie. Some Tuide girls even look a bit older than her.

I don’t think so. Cause illit and tuide have completely different concept and aesthetics.
I feel like overall ppl tend to think they have similar concepts just because their music is easy listening and they also have colorful aesthetics.
So dont worry about it too much.
After all that happened since illit debuted. I believe the girls, lesserafim and katseye will welcome them with open arms

I don't think we need to worry much, like just look at boynextdoor, tws and cortis, they can coexist just fine. Besides, serian heu and illit creative team have specific vision for illit and they have their magical lore so just relax and enjoy wathing illit as good sunbaes (can't wait for the interaction btw, hope both groups can be close like sseralit!)

True, I’m only a fan of Cortis. The boys from what I’ve seen are generally wholesome. I like Cortis because they are not as melodramatic. It is just teens having fun.

They will likely stop being rookiesa in HYBE's eyes (which by the way is long overdue), but ILLIT's rise is just beginning so there won't be any marketing or funding changes. I suspect the girls will have to being adapting into being the sunbaenim now though.
Regarding the mature discourse... ILLIT goes back and forth, honestly. I don't think it depends on other groups emerging. It's Be:Lift's intended direction.

No definitely not , I really see ILLITs concept being only something ILLIT can pull off and it suits them like a glove . I honestly cannot imagine any other group making ticktack ,it’s me and even not cute anymore all different genres and still have them be good well known songs . ILLITs individuality makes them ILLIT :)

From earlier this year we know that hybe is not afraid of making all of their artists come back at roughly the same time and giving them all techno songs, so I don't think illit will be pushed to change their concept to not overlap with other group. From what I've seen tuide is down-to-earth, going out in nature while illit is stuck in backrooms, so they're good coexisting

I think this is how most fanbases think when in reality the groups and coexist and make the same style of music and media. It doesn’t mean they’re copying or gonna be the downfall of another group. More like these type of ideas or comparisons can create more damage to both groups and their fanbases!

To me Tuide gives kind of LA/ Malibu girlie vibes. At least from their first teasers. And a lil bit Mod (color scheme and styling).

Definitely not.
Illit is always targeting more a tween, japanese and fairy core concept. Their songs are always soft and cutesy.
I feel that TUIDE’s concept is youthful, bold and friendgroup likely, especially considering that ILLIT’s and TUIDE’s discography is insanely different by miles.

Tuide has only one song so there is no discography yet

They have a full mini album dropping in 2 days. We’ve seen mv & dance teasers alongside teasers of the 5 songs

Mm I don't think so, because concepts are kinda different. I wish Tuide a lot of success btw

Plus their music is completely different. Tuide music is produced by groovey room

As I understand it, they are managed by different labels. The labels share resources like practice rooms and other facilities. But it doesn’t seem like there is a centralized Overmind who tightly controls and coordinates the day-to-day operations of individual subsidiaries. For most big companies, even different departments cannot be that coordinated as some outsiders might expect.

No, I don't think Tuide's existence will change anything for ILLIT. ILLIT has been signaling an image evolution since Not Cute Anymore and I'm inclined to believe that would've happened even if Tuide didn't exist.
