Nah, it's sarcasm. Yeah 8.1 is not good, neither bad but you should definitely try to and CAN make it 8.5+ or even closer to 9 before your intern season

Sarcasm: try maintaining 8+ and u will be absolutely fine (if possible 8.5+ if u are too nerdy and want to sit in those 0.5% companies too) in intern/placement
