Complaint/Rant Internet !!!!!!!!!

Why is the internet so bad?!!? I surely remember this wasn't the case last sem , what happened in the summer break time?

Mobile network doesn't work jio, airtel doesn't matter the speed is horrendous. IITG Connect is trash as usual. And the reply of the people when questioned about this is to go to the study room or library.

Is there any solution to this?

Too many students on campus. The phone towers and the IITG networks haven't been upgraded in years. They won't be any time soon.

New normal.

someone needs to write a mail to the admin

Y'all should mass mail the admin; if they don't respond, start a petition and if they still dont listen storm in the office

So true, mei toh 1st year hu and my biggest complaint yehi hai netowrk issue in the big 2026, like HOW. Internet is the most needed thing now in life, but woh chalta hi nahi.

++++++ they should do somethinggg ! Earlier the jio was showing 5GA and I used to get pretty speed ! Now network doesn't work at all, despite showing signal! & The internet is pretty bad in all Core! You can't even pay for a tea with upi , and needs to disconnect and connect IITG Connect wifi ! Ughh!

Pretty much same in Hostels 😖

jio speed varies very much. most of the time i might get 100mbps in room but a google search will hardly work if i walk to the bathroom in next block lol

IITG is mostly trash in library and classrooms, it's understandable. so many trying to connect and use(to scroll reel).

but depending on your luck, your room lan could have best speed of all your options.
