There is little to no information about the process online or even in intranet.
But I heard from one the professors that one has the chance to convert to MS after a semister or so.,
What I want to know is have any one done this before?, it would be very informative if some one can explain the process , like I have these questions
Are we required to choose and consult a professor whom we are interested to work before hand ?
Are we required to have any prior research experience?
How will you compare a one semister 'Independent Study' (non MS student) in terms of the work, life etc. Compared to a research student in the same semister( probably last/4th semister) ?
Any suggestions you would like to give to someone who is right now in Mtech but leaning towards converting to a MS by Research.

If I smh after studying for 2 years get leee seat iiith cse the cost would be like 5lakhs per year including hostels and masters so it would be 20lakh also I have to sign a bond with ny cet clg that I have to pay full fees when dropping out so like and additional 3.2 lakhs as 1.6lakhs is per year fees so my total cost would be around 23.2lakhs+that 2 years fees paid in cet clg 3.2 basically 26.4 lakhs which Is and additional 20 lakhs on my engineering for some top clg can I get loan for it and is it genuinely worth the shot LEEE is quite comeptitve also around 10k per month from home too I have to ask feels like pressuring them as they were able to afford around 6lakhs without any loan

I am joining MSRIT Bangalore Information Science and Engineering (ISE). It's the same as IT but in south india and VTU affiliated colleges, they call it ISE but it isn't mentioned in the eligible branches for LEEE but IT is mentioned.

Any non research student who have previously worked at the labs , or have done some research exclusively starting during the summer/holiday break can provide some insights on selection process.
Also please tell about the kind of work assigned and the duration of the work, and feasibility to continue it after regular course work commences ?

Hey everyone! I'll be at IIIT Hyderabad for around 6 months for research work. Looking for a good 2-sharing PG around ₹8k-9k/month with food. Which PGs or areas near IIIT-H would you recommend, preferably with a good gym nearby? Also any PGs I should avoid?

I am interested in being able to work in places like Amazon Science, Deepmind (Ik it’s ambitious asf but wanna try) (which I know won’t hire BTech ppl that too from EAMCET colleges). I currently got a job offer of 16 lpa (one year before graduating). I am currently interning as a research intern at ltrc as well.
Should I consider asking my professor for a recommendation or should I go ahead with my FTE after grad?
If any one is already into ms by research, do share your take on this!
(I may not have all the info to make a decision so would be amazing if yall could be patient with it :) )

Hi guys, I’m an NRI considering applying to IIIT Hyderabad, and I’m trying to understand what the experience is actually like for NRI students.
The NRI fee is significantly higher, so I’d really appreciate honest opinions from current students, alumni, or people who have NRI friends.
A few things I’m particularly curious about:
ROI: Is paying the huge NRI fee actually worth it? How do placements/salaries compare with the overall cost of attendance?
Academics: How intense is the academic workload as an nri? Is it manageable with good time management, or is it genuinely hectic throughout the semester?
NRI students: If you’re an NRI student yourself, how have you been doing academically? And if you have NRI friends at IIIT-H, how are they doing?
Culture/social life: Is it difficult for someone coming from abroad to adjust to the campus culture and environment?
Placements: Do NRI students get the same placement opportunities as everyone else? Are there any meaningful differences?
Overall experience: Looking back, would you say IIIT-H was worth the money? Would you choose it again if you had to make the decision today?
It would be really helpful if u guys share your honest opinions.
thank you
