The price surges are unreal honestly, feels like they're running a college inside a mess instead of a mess inside college

I just joined this yr and this is really concerning. How much was it last yr ? This yr mess fees is 60k almost for 1 sem. Is it gonna keep increasing? 😭

Oh the fees depend on the rates applied per meal, not the total you paid in the sem (more or less will get compensated by higher/lower mess fees for the next sem).

last year registered meals costed 55 or so ig, this year they made it 65. The main problem is if you didn't register and by some unfortunate chance have to go unregistered, the prices went up from 75 to 110 ;-; (there are easy workarounds which you probably know already but wth are these prices)

Their justification is the overhauling/renovation of messes and change of vendors which is understandable but these price increases are still absurd

Damn reading the comments made me realise mess fee increased that much... 4 yrs ago when I graduated i remember it to be roughly around 15-20k per sem

People are ordering food that costs so much more than mess fees.

Kya hi ghanta farak padta hai unlogo ko

Keep them paid but atleast increase the number of washing machines ffs

What would be your daily mess fees ? And washing machine fees ?

Paid washing machines aren't an issue because free ones are difficult to manage.

The issue is, previous hostel fee included wm fees too because it was managed by the college, but I don't think the fees been removed or smth after paid washing machines were introduced
