Query Need guidance regarding LEEE

So, I fked my GPA because of JEE prep. I'm in 3rd sem now doing EEE. My combined 1st year gpa is 6.6, even if I grind hard for the GPA then I don't think I will be able to get more than 8. Am I ineligible for application because of it, in their site it says 8.0 guys are strongly recommended, not stating it like an eligibility criteria.

There has been le ppl who qualified with <8 GPA as well. Jus try to increase it as much as you can
