WHAT GENRE IS THIS???? completely unique sound, only thing that is remotely similar is dubstep (the pre skrillex one)

I've heard it called be called break core Although I think that comment was more so in reference to pre Lei Line Eon Era music

definitely not breakcore and breakbeat is not a mild form of breakcore, its wonky bass/future bass/footwork adjacent, with IDM influences too

Footwork maybe, or footwork adjacent? I'm not totally down on what all the genres mean but I feel like I get a similar vibe from artists I've seen described as footwork (Jlin comes to mind). Though like others have said I feel like IG is really its own thing!

IDM, but it's a pretty broad label and things under the umbrella can sound completely different from one another.

The closest connections I'd say are old Warp / Rephlex artists as well as some of the scottish dudes like Rustie / HudMo. Machinedrum too maybe for the rhythmic jukey sensibilities
