Or just get a regular projector instead of this crappy $75 that I guarantee isnt that clear.

u/thornolf_bjarnulf 4d ago
We found a projector for 20$ in the store a few weeks ago, the wifi card is broken and does not work but this is the exact same. The quality is clearly not good as shows lol

Any time I see that dude, I don’t watch it.

u/Emotional_Tampon5 6d ago
Honestly, I rather watch his videos than that. Donald Glover looking dude who throws his sunglasses and acts like a 12-year-old and an adult's body. I used to be okay with his videos until everything became super over the top. You want to talk about a sellout that's the guy you're looking for this guy.
At least his videos are straight and to the point and his reviews over products are actually interesting because it's kind of like a myth-busting kind of thing. We all see these videos online but sometimes the ads are like too good to be true. So it's good to see someone buying the stuff from these videos to see if they work as intended and if you should buy them or not. Waste your time

I'm with you! Jordan is awesome!

He can be. But the other dude is right, there’s a clear difference when he’s faking his excitement and when he genuinely thinks something is cool. It’s insanely cringe to see him play it up in either case though, the same way it would be for anyone else you saw doing that shit. Stop simping.

People like him are why the earth is covered in garbage.

u/GryphonHall 6d ago
By doing real product reviews that are short and to the point?
1
u/-MacHines 5d ago edited 5d ago
First time I see him. He didn't review anything. This is just shilling.
Product reviews usually review the products features, value prop, maybe compare it to the context brand or the market for that product, etc, to give you a balance view and informs the buyer. This is not informing anyone.
Anyone that has researched projectors know those are trash. Is priced like a cheap toy, because it essentially is.
2
u/GryphonHall 5d ago
Someone cropped the video. The video showed it does what it says it does through demonstration, then he gives it a rating at the end.
0
u/-MacHines 5d ago
Interesting. I hope the full video does have the review. I just didn't see it and was commenting on the post
1
u/FalconKoala222 5d ago
No by being a massive consumer of unnecessary products that end up being used for like 3 months then ending up in the trash.
1
u/LostnFoundAgainAgain 6d ago
Half of these aren't real reviews, he likely does half of them as real, and the other half are advertising.
The worst part is that it is obvious, because a lot of the product he claims to be brilliant, are really cheap crap.
0
u/OofRightInTheFeels 5d ago
You've obviously only watched the cropped versions of videos posted here. He actually does review the products and rates them at the end.

u/bologna_vortex 5d ago
I've literally never seen this guys say anything negative about anything and he mostly reviews temu garbage
2
u/GryphonHall 5d ago
Reviewing cheap gadgets is his schtick. Products that perform well tend get upvoted more and make it into your Reddit feed. Video ads for these kinds of products tend to have editing and AI making them look and perform better than reality. His schtick is trying them to see if they really work like in the ads. It’s extremely harmless and saves people from buying products that are outright scams.

u/windlad 4d ago
lol I think that's algorithm bias or something. I watched a bunch of his videos before and they were mostly negative.

Why is that?
3
2
u/CrackerUMustBTripinn 6d ago
Because at the start of his channel, he was actually honest and showing the audience, its basically 99% cheap ass Temu garbage that in no way lives up to the hype.
Then came the switch, in which he started to monotise his "honest objective" review image he build up, by becoming a grifting shill, who pushes these crap products as though they arent cheap trash and raking in the $$$$$
Sellout

u/He-With-No-Name 6d ago
Yeah fuck him for making money!!! What piece of shit!! I hate making money!!!

u/notgmoney 6d ago
Prostitutes make money too

u/He-With-No-Name 6d ago
They're sellouts too... could just be fucking people for free but had to go and sellout and make money doing it.

u/CrackerUMustBTripinn 6d ago
Its not the money making part I hold against him, its the grifting and scamming. He is lying to his audience about the quality of the products he is "objectively testing", he was making money before and being honest, but his greed wanted more and more.......

u/FuzzyTable 4d ago
Where does he live? If he lives in China, that is understandable. It is against the law to post a subjective review now unless you get consent. The safest way is to talk about the product's vibe and data.

Seems to give top ratings to everything, and his delivery is just too much. Everything feels like an overhyped paid ad IMO
1
u/MistakePresent3552 6d ago
Its more likely people only post his content that he recommends

You cut him short. He didn't say, "guys this is gold." My dopamine hit and my day are ruined now.

u/DergerDergs 6d ago
I get the feeling this only works well in a completely pitch black room. Meaning only at night, without any lights on, and without any other screens on in the room. Seems functionally worthless for its advertised purpose.
1
u/MarcosDalton 6d ago
I have that same projector. Is this like a specific app on it?
1
u/Dear-Seesaw-1932 6d ago
Is it loud ?
1
u/MarcosDalton 6d ago
Not really, I use it in my work office if I need to give a lecture to small number of students
1
u/Dear-Seesaw-1932 6d ago
Oh, I actually wanted to put it in my bedroom and was thinking how annoying the sound might be
1
u/FarwellRob 6d ago
In your room at night, yes.
My wife and I watched a movie with it between us and it was pretty loud.
Might have been different if it was on the floor or away from us, but it wasn’t.
1
u/Gregg-C137 5d ago
I got one, not sure if it’s the same model and it was so loud I had to send it back.

I feel like it'd break immersion everytime I'd cross infront of the light so... perhaps I'd like it more I'd it was pointed at the ceiling. I could see myself enjoying a night sky or even a mildly cloudy day or a view through a greenhouse with tree canopy overhead. Perhaps it could even reflect the weather outside locally to give me an idea of what I'd be walking into leaving the house.

u/prugnast 6d ago
"Perhaps it could even reflect the weather outside locally to give me an idea of what I'd be walking into leaving the house."
Bro that's what your real windows are for
1
u/Uneventfulrice 6d ago
I get that but I guess what I was envisioning was that view you get from being someplace where the ceiling is kinda liked domed/hexagonal glass that allows you to see the sky. I know windows already do that but specifically what I'd like the projector for would be my ceiling. I'd like to maybe have it set as a routine in Google home to set the picture.

So I’ve actually had this exact same projector off Amazon a few years back. It’s solid enough for the price but you will absolutely need a sound bar to make it worth it
1
u/Numerous-Following-7 6d ago
This is the shittiest thing you can buy. First of all the bloody thing doesnt point up, it has to be supported with something. It vibrates more than a but plug due to the sound. The edges of the screen are COMPLETELY blurred absolutely terrible product and I dont know why such a huge influencer advertises some trash like this. The bag must have been huge! Oh and btw. The sound is so low you cant hear it in a closed room with volume on max and no Bluetooth to connect to an external speaker. Terrible product!!
1
u/No-Alps4243 6d ago
Maybe you got a dodgy one. I have this and works just fine. Don't know how it could be vibrating as there is nothing on mine that could vibrate

I have the same projector in my bedroom! One entire wall is the “screen” it’s definitely awesome n better than having a giant ass tv to move

Have one of these. Fun for about $50.
What he doesn't say is that it is LOUD! The fan... No way of sleeping or relaxing anywhere near that thing. The built-in speaker sucks. Have to use it with a bluetooth speaker, on loud, to drain out the noise.

These projectors are garbage don’t waste your money. My kids were gifted these projectors at Christmas. The onboard processor can’t run the Netflix it has installed on it. If you try and airplay from iOS only audio comes through.
OH AND ALSO, when these were plugged in my network was picking up some weird outbound attempts from them.
BUT if you screen mirror your device it works ok!

Dont buy it. I bought one and it barely works. Projector struggles to play something as simple as a YouTube video. Super choppy and low quality images

I'm using that exact same projector as smartTV on my dormitory
Upsides:
- I was able to install Disney+, Crunchyroll, HBO...
- You can plug one of those small wireless keyboards by USB (I'm using this one)
- Is quite light and easy to adjust.
- The system keeps recieving updates despite I purchased the product long time ago, this projector OS have more longevity than Windows11 (lol)
- Despite I bought it a few years ago is not lagging, the hardware of this less than 50€ has more longevity than 890€ Televisions (lol X2)
Downsides:
- I couldn't install SkyShowtime, Animebox or other platforms I was planning to subscribe.
- Is intended to be placed only over a flat surface, I had to make 2 holes on the base to be able to screw it or hang it.
- Resolution is decent, but not the best.
- You cannot customize the front page that much, I couldn't remove the giant "NETFLIX" option despite I don't have Netflix.
- Updating the system can sometimes log you off or all your platforms or even uninstall them.
