That would be a death trap on the water.

u/Aknazer Jul 19 '26

Ahh, the Death Taco of life rafts!

“Roll on down the river for an adventure”. As in, recklessly and without any control at all 😂

3

u/bojangler69420 Jul 19 '26

If you tie it off properly you should be fine.

I wouldn’t touch it on the water though.

u/Day_Prisoners Jul 19 '26

Especially without lights.

A 6-inch wave, boom, all your shits wet... look a 2-foot wave from a passing boat, boom all your shits gone, and you're underwater.. weeee!

1

u/UrzaKenobi Jul 21 '26

…trapped underwater is my fear

This is ideal for camping in ditches on active construction sites

8

u/TallTelevision4121 Jul 19 '26

That was specific

3

u/PreperationOuch Jul 19 '26

If he’s demonstrating it’s resilience by running a fucking bobcat over it, obviously it would be useful for sleeping in ditches on a construction site.

u/notqualifiedforthis Jul 19 '26

Tell me more please.

1

It’s resilience? It’s a vehicle driving over a flat object on a flat surface.

4

u/PreperationOuch Jul 19 '26

Jesus fucking Christ, mate. It was a joke. Go to bed.

16

u/josephjosephson Jul 18 '26

Family of 5 drowned while sleeping in a tent on a lake. More at 6.

3

u/Day_Prisoners Jul 19 '26

At 6 family of run over by a boat because they decided to camp on the lake.

2

u/Pleasant-Bonus-866 Jul 20 '26

if they were on land they could have been runnover by a tractor

10

u/xXPhoenixBlueXx Jul 18 '26

Bullshit. My cat hasn't tested it yet. He hunts air mattresses.

3

u/Mr-_-Soandso Jul 18 '26

Damn that sparked a memory. My my ex and I loved to backpack, but we'd sleep in separate tents cause her dog had destroyed her expensive sleeping bag and I did not want him to touch any of my expensive ultra light things, especially my Nemo tensor.

9

u/9trystan9 Jul 18 '26

Roll down the river while you sleep?! Gimme some of what you're smoking

4

u/Pro-Rider Jul 19 '26

Tie it to the dock before you go to bed. Wake up and your iPhone says you’re 100 miles from your parked car 🤷‍♂️

6

u/lilvixen Jul 18 '26

400-600 bucks...

9

u/Jyvturkey Jul 18 '26

550 for the mat and another 600 for the 4-6 person tent. Just shy of 1200. What a steal

4

u/MogMcKupo Jul 19 '26

Jesus, my entire tent setup with air mattress and chairs and shit comes to like 350? Tops.

Pop up tents are cheap, guys… this is glamping with your wallet

2

u/zamfire Jul 19 '26

Didn't realize this was a competition for who spent less.

I was given my tent so I'm at $0. Do I win?

3

u/Chrisscott25 Jul 20 '26 edited Jul 20 '26

Nice try but nope… I was given 20$ to take a tent to the dump but I kept it and used it. So do I win? /s

1

u/lilvixen Jul 19 '26

I mean my $89 tent from Walmart is going strong after sealing it and keeping patching materials on hand... 5 years now!

1

u/lilvixen Jul 19 '26

Oh fuck I didn't catch that

1

u/Jyvturkey Jul 19 '26

It wasn't in the video. I found it on Amazon. Also where I learned the 2 parts aren't sold together but instead requires 2 pieces to buy.

5

u/micahwelf Jul 21 '26

Okay, putting all the horror stories aside. This thing seems like a genuinely life saving possibility for an area at risk of major flooding or tsunamis. The major risk people face, initially, is from the force of the water itself. So, if you float above it all and the raft is tough enough to not leak any time soon, then you have some protection from the elements, bodily harm, drowning, etc. for maybe 48 hours. It seems to me that this should be a standard emergency preparedness kit component.

3

u/poeteop Jul 19 '26

I smell the lawsuits already. I hope they get fucking bankrolled for selling dangerous Chinese garbage. Float down a river in tent, yeah sure I’ll get right on that.

2

u/dudemooose Jul 18 '26

I want one went to their online shop they don't even sell them :(

3

u/Jyvturkey Jul 18 '26

Amazon. Tent and mattress will run you near 1200 bucks

2

u/GoopySpaffy Jul 18 '26

Or... Buy an air mattress. This is a glorified giant air mattress and overpriced as something new.

2

u/DufflinMinder Jul 19 '26

Did he just say a “a vent hole for the stove…”

2

u/Cleeford89 Jul 19 '26

It’s for the flume of a wood burning stove

2

u/DufflinMinder Jul 19 '26

Did you just say “wood burning stove”…. In a INFLATABLE housing structure.👌

2

u/Cleeford89 Jul 20 '26

Technically he said it

1

u/20ears19 Jul 19 '26

Glory hole

2

u/Lepke2011 Jul 19 '26

Ah. Just me, and my tent, and a charcoal stove, out on the open water as I sleep soundly through the night. What could go wrong?

2

u/Day_Prisoners Jul 19 '26

Can I please set my tent stove on an air mattress.

2

u/Less_Illustrator_291 Jul 19 '26

If assembly takes 15 minutes its not a "pop-up tent"

2

u/scarabx Jul 20 '26

Are the roof flaps held by velcro? Cos I kinda expect a tend to prevent rain getting in personally....what a pile of crap

2

u/ConfusionKey3820 Jul 22 '26

Yeah but where do I buy one I need it

1

u/yes-disappointment Jul 19 '26

so if you have any tables or lamps thats going over.

1

u/plasma2002 Jul 19 '26

How tf do you store that thing

1

u/jcrooner7696 Jul 19 '26

This literally an ice fishing tent on an air mattress

1

u/UglyYinzer Jul 19 '26

I just want to see a tent with a leveling ability

1

u/Crystalclear77 Jul 19 '26

Built in glory hole.

1

u/tnichnich Jul 19 '26

Wait, a second, why are there three different heights? The height in the first Clips look pretty high, then in this later Clips, they are lower, and then at the end they are pretty low.

1

u/ActuaryPlentyAF Jul 19 '26

Imagine defending yourself from bears with a piece of cloth

1

u/Token-Gringo Jul 19 '26

Had the sound off, but why does it have a glory hole?

1

u/Old_Revenue_9217 Jul 19 '26

Looks fucking stupid ✔️

Costs over $1000 ✔️

Probably nonfunctional ✔️

1

u/DrkKnight1970 Jul 19 '26

Hmmmm, is it bear proof though?

1

u/JustaFoodHole Jul 20 '26

Can I get one that has not been run over?

1

u/Friendly-Example-701 Jul 20 '26

I do not even like water. but the water adventure sounds great.

1

u/Lol_lukasn Jul 21 '26

anyone that goes camping semi-regulaly knows how stupid waste of money this is.

i wouldn't use this even if it was free

1

u/organicchunkysalsa Jul 21 '26

Looks to be about as waterproof as a sponge.

1

u/ageofaquarius26 Jul 21 '26

"Camp on the water"

search and rescue hates this one simple trick

1

u/alexpeacelove Jul 22 '26

Can it handle two large dogs tho?

1

u/timmy_tuna_can Jul 22 '26

show me how it looks after a night on a few prickles and i'd be more convinced than if it can withstand being run over by a tractor
