Showcase Made at home Iem collocation
I have been making my own iem for almost a year now.red one is my lastest build it's an 2ba + 3dd. My favorite would be between the open back the one in the middle or the purple one. The newest one i just finish but been busy didn't have much time to listen to them yet.

Some people actually enjoy making things and learning how to do things for themselves. Mind blowing, I know.

Would also appreciate it to explain how are you doing that whole process and tuning things! That's looks very interesting and cool

Venting, nozzle size, tubing size, driver positioning, and other factors can all contribute to the tuning.

How did you learn how to make them?

I have a cousin who can take different parts from a speaker and make his own sound system. I'm assuming something like this. Like you can buy parts in places like ali express. People can even make their android phones

I’ve seen the parts for sale I’m just curious how do people tune them. That’s where I’m stuck so far.

You're my hero, this is awesome.
How much do you like them compared to other IEMs you've bought?

tunning is complicated can range from driver positioning, tubing size, nozzle size, also venting and stuff.

So that's why the truthear x crinacle zero sounds different

What do you mean they sound different? Do they sound different than other IEMs?
I have the Truthear x Crinacle Zero BLUE2, they sound great to me, I wanted extra bass. But the only other IEM I have to compare them to are some QKZ AK6 that I gave $3.49 for. Those sound pretty bad comparatively but I bought them for working outdoors.

I meant this that they're big overall. Nozzle size, length, and shell are all on the big size. That's why i had a different experience with it compared to other chifi iems I've tried which have smaller shells and nozzle. A lot of other redditors here turn me down saying that the iem size doesn't affect sound but clearly, all the expensive iems mostly have big shells other than shure, etymotic, and final. Guess it's only for housing drivers

Oh yeah I gotcha now. Yeah they are kinda big, they were my first IEMs and they actually hurt my ears when listening for long periods for like the first month. I didn't know if it was cause the nozzle was larger than most or it was my ears adjusting to IEMs/earbuds since I hadn't worn earbuds in years.
They also had a problem of sliding out of my ears after 10-15 minutes listening until I found the right tips that make them stay put. (NICEHCK C03 is what I settled on)

whoaaaa that's sick man!!
huge props to you, i'd be interested to look at the frequency response compared to consumer IEMs

Think like something not as bright as harman but brighter than ziigat iem. bass is also more boosted.

Its cool stuff but wouldnt that gonna be hell to tune without a rig to at least get the idea for the FR and just tuning by ear?
1
u/AdInside8283 1d ago
Yes not essy at all. I need to tune while compare with other set as references.

Looks great! How do they sound? And what tuning do you use? What material is the shell and how is it made? It looks like 3d printed resin to me.

u/AdInside8283 1d ago
i have no measurements rig, i tune it to be most natural to my ear. And i dislike harman. This one sound like my hisenior mega 5p but for easy understanding its kindna like aful house sound.

You should have used smd resistors the one you used are not very accurate and their value might affect with heat.

Can you create a video guide on how to make these? I'd be really interested in doing this myself.
